Can I purchase Jetstar gift vouchers to avoid paying Jetstar service fees? Travelling with a family of 5 pax. The extra $100 is difficult to swallow.

Do you mean the credit card admin fees?
If yes. Yes you can but make sure your voucher is enough to pay for your full amount.
Because any remaining payment will have to be paid through credit card which will still incur the fees.

Which means if the entire charges is $608, I can only use $600 vouchers to offset, but I have to incur service charges of $10 per pax per trip for the remaining $8? That will be $100 for 5 pax.

Yes. You will still incur the service charges because you still need to pay the remaining $8 through credit card.

Unless your vouchers amount more than $608.

Or you can buy $625 worth of voucher. But you only loose about $17.

I have 5 pax, so service and booking charges is $100. It doesn't make sense to pay $100 for $8.

I think with any outstanding amount, I have to pay booking and service fees for all my 5 pax in a single booking. That is $100.

If your travel date is at least 14 days away, you can use offline payment
Else you cant use offline payment
you might want to consider using vouchers.

U have to buy 6x 100sgd voucher and 25sgd voucher.
there might be chances whereby u purchase your voucher, if u r going to purchase your tickets, especially with more than 3 pax, the promo fare would be gone or limited left ...

Can't you just PayPal the $8?

PayPal is available if your (first) flight is operated by Jetstar Airways (JQ). If you choose to pay with PayPal, you’ll be redirected to the PayPal website. A Booking and Service Fee will apply.

JQ is usually for flights to australia / nz
If you are travelling to asia, the flight code is usually 3k ...

cc/union pay/ alipay: $10 per passenger per sector
enets: $9 per passenger per sector

Ur total is $600+ u might want to consider adding more luggage checked in , or have a meal to get close to 625 ...

There is a hack for this. Let me teach u.

Jetstar smallest denomination is $25. You can do this and i have tried many times. =)

1) Book tickets without luggage and see if total fare is close to nearest $25.
For example, i dont add luggage and total fare is $531.
I will buy $550 worth of vouchers and there is "$19" left.

2) i will add checkin luggage worth say $40. Jetstar will use the excess $19 from vouchers to offset the $40 and you have to pay $21 using credit card AT NO SURCHARGE.

This is the most brilliant way to hack jetstar ticket purchase.

Nope. For that $3, you will incur booking and service fees. It's $10 per pax per flight.

My flight is a short one. And I have 5 pax. So $100 booking and service fees for $608 flight fare is not worth.

From my understanding, whatever leftover you can only use vouchers or card payments, u cant use offline payments anymore ...

The last time when I used voucher, the remaining balance via cc payments, would incur $10 per person per sector ...

If your flight total is just $503 and u cannot add anymore, there are 2 options:

1) Pay by AXS/Singpost for $6 more? Total $509. This method is cheapest if you do not want to collect KF miles.

2) i am a mile chaser. I use DBS WWMC and i can get 4miles/dollar. I will buy $525 worth of vouchers and add seats/meals etc to get closer to $525.
