Starting perhaps use Scorpion first, then more burnt in then use SP

JH has innovation, but in terms of absolute SQ, i'm not sure if they can match Fitear
While JH13FP impressed me, i wasn't all that impressed with JH16FP

What the old JH13 could do with 6 drivers, Fitear matched with just 3 with their 333
Will just have to wait n see how this new 12 driver flagship sounds

Lol at least there is one who same thought as me... not really impress by jh during mook aug. Jh sq still below fitear for all general genes of music.

I would actually advise bros who are interested in the 'Roxanne' to demo it in the upcoming Mook Headphone Festival in a month time before deciding to pull the trigger.

Be it having 12 drivers or not. Most importantly, you have to like it yourself.

For bros who have deep pockets with interest. Kindly choose to ignore my advise above :D

Perhaps Fitear appreciation thread would be more appropriate for those who prefer them.

Lets be civil and not derail other threads.

For me, the JH13 (pre-freqphase) excels just about every genre of music save for Classical and vocal centric genres.

While other custom makers may excel in very specific genres, the price to performance ratio for excelling in specific genres, make them too costly. Almost as if the makers want buyers to have a "collect them all" buying habit. Great if the person has lots of cash to burn, not so for audiophiles on a budget, or those who just want to have one great custom for listening any time, day or genre.

JH13 and the other JH family of customs are what i'd call the best in their category, giving the best performance across without finding them lacking in any parts (by all except the most discerning of customers).

Sonically, built quality and price point wise, the JH series is arguably the most balanced.

I think it speaks for itself when JH has kept their custom series without refresh in the past 6 years, despite many new players coming and going.

Cannot upgrade the cable.......................:s8:

That's not the issue, Jerry has said he'll make the sockets available to all cablemakers.

What I have issue is, if you guys ever notice, the IEM part is usually female part of the socket, but for JH's new socket, the IEM is the male part of the socket.
If the pins is damaged and requires repair, it could be major works.

Looks similar to the ex600/800/1000 ma.

I've tried to get a friend to make a cable for my EX1000, and though he succeeded, he was bitching about how hard it was to make that cable.

Not a matter of respect, it's about exploring the limit of where a very IEM is capable of going.
I personally feel getting the most and best out of the IEM is respecting the designer.

Actually the new pin configuration is more sturdy over the current Westone 2-pin approach which is far more prone to breakage, bending, lodging in socket.

The 4-pins are recessed and surrounded by the screw mold. Any impact to the 4 male pins are very unlikely unless intentionally tampered with.

Also the impact to damage the screw mold over the 4-pins would have to be great, it would definitely damage a 2-pin westone configuration.

So am confident the new pin lock is more secure and safer.
Better than even the shure pin option adopted by Westone, which can be dislodged easily with a yank or tug.

I've not had any accident with the current 2 pin Westone pins in almost 4 years of (C)IEM usage mate
