This article suggest that knee Cartlidge can be rebuilt with the right sequence of exercise that are also in the article. I asked GROK 4.0 to fact check, and it says the article is mostly accurate and backed by science. I don't have knee issue, so won't be trying. But those with knees problem, can have a look at the article, maybe there is something useful there.

Yea, i have come across that before in other sites.......talking about needing constant sustained pressure with a gliding motion on the joints for cartilage growth.

Bought ASICS megablast for 25000 yen (less than sg $215) in Japan. The front is definitely narrow. For me. I need to half size up from my usual US8 to US8.5. recently I found many running shoes need to half size up after i tried ( prime X2 strung , NB elite v4, adios pro 4 and MB)

bought it to replace my current superblast 1 which clocked around 700km. The latest colour purple SB2 no stock for my size . If have . I might probably get SB2 and MB together. I can't help coz it is really much cheaper in Japan SB2 only less than SG $190 😂

Oh....TB app offering rmb 20 shipping voucher again. This time they just give it to you, no need to wait 1200h.
Going to get another light and some accessories.
Where you find the shipping voucher? On my side the shipping voucher shows a countdown timer to 12pm and when i tried claiming 12pm on the dot it shows fully redeemed.

The reason why he dyill has a VO2max of 50 @ age 80 is coz he had a VO2max of 58 @ age 45, and a VO2max of 75 @ age 25. This is in line with the general population regarding VO2max loss (6-11% per decade)
The higher you manage to train your VO2max earlier on when you were younger, the higher it would be during elderly years.
Also, check out the BMI/body fat %.

No, he was not a former athlete or from any pro sports background, ie not professional by any means. Normal recreational sporty guy and then age 70 then started structured training.

I can only hope that i am on the same/"correct" track. Coz i only "caught up" only when i hit 48-49 by starting to exercise (just stairs climbing at first).

On first page i just clicked on it, brought me to another page and i just accepted it. I clicked today @ 10+am.
Not sure why is there a difference vs the 12pm, i tried the 12 noon one last time before several times and really had to set alarm clock for 11.57 or something and click at 11.59am 58 seconds (2 seconds for lag), and even then bo bao tio.

75 vo2max at 25 is already way above average Joe. He got the gene.
It explain why some bui bui people who can't run 2.4km who decide to change their lifestyle and within a year and half can run sub 3:30 in their early 40s.

Yeah.....the "base" needs to be correct for it to be that high. Just that the concept is the same across the board, just to differing standards. Get it to as high as possible during younger days so that older age you dont even get close to the functional disability standard.......coz by that stage it's probably very difficult to get back on track.

Issue - some people dont know their high genetic standard/capability and just get wasted away by life....or have the false notion that sports is tough and is a high hanging fruit.
Or maybe some just dont want dont crave for high quality of life during latter years.

Fix or adaptative? If fix plan, you have to see if you are as fit as him. e.g. a Weekend 30km run at zone 2 is a lot easier for a elite runner than for amateur runner. Training load ATL is also lower for the elite runner. I learn the hard way when I followed the Advance Marathoning fixed plan.

Basketball is very taxing. That day I played alone nia almost sprained ankle. My hip abductor or something (like lift up marching) got soreness for 3 days.
See the article by @Ender recently.

Such sport with sudden twists and jerks can do harm to your lower body if not careful.

Running on a track or flat ground is just repetition and safer.

I won't by buying anything from the taobao or PDD 11.11 sales this year. Coz I bought my Nike VPFly 4 and Streakfly 2 today, Both are opened box shelves. VPFLY4 only left with two size 12s on the shelves. I took the one with the lesser wrinkle and then I took the only pair of Streakfly 2. i.e no other sizes. They are havin buy one with 40% off or two with 50% off. Damaged is $139.90 for the VPfly 4 and $109.90 for the Streakfly 2 +30 cent for the paperbag.

@xllms have u try both peak 千层浪 and xtep 2000km? which one will u recommend???
i have 千层浪 but not 2000km.
千层浪 is a pair that does it all, slow pace, tempo, sprints and walking. All pretty decent and above average but not fantastic. I wish the midsole is bouncier and more responsive. But the dual density midsole makes walking really good. Its one of my favourite walking shoes now.
My default daily trainer now is the super budget shoe (<RMB200) in the form of Qiaodan 强风 TR, but i changed the insole to suit me better.

congrats on the megablast. which part of japan did you go to?
i was hoping to get a pair when i was in Sapporo, but Sapporo does not have ASICS retail shops, only duty free shop in the Duty Free Retail Mall and no supershoes are found in the shop. Which is why i ended up with a pair of NB5 😂
