Shuan, classic case of chiong too fast in the beginning, than later in the race when critical moment to kick turbo, he has no gas for the top 3 position.
Brave race by him to lead the group but I don’t think he has much to podium since the top 3 guys are a step faster

kudos to him for not giving up and pips the malaysian runner for silver by 0.01s.
not sure if anyone noticed, Marc Louis might have stepped onto the line. Luckily for him, Booson Puripol who is on the side which marc louis leans into, has passed him.
But Puripol is really fast. He is definitely on course to break 20s real soon. Slow start off the blocks and slowed down just before the finishing line.

After a relatively disappointing standard chart race, I went for a 10km run hoping to achieve a good pb before EOY. Almost an 1min20s PR and aided by the good weather. Glad to get my long awaited sub 44 before EOY and I can reset in peace 😅 Paced as consistent as I can while I slowed down during 7-9km to ensure I can finish the run with a strong finish
good job

Aim for sub-3/1:30 esp for > 50. Can do it this way as well, go/train for the speed element and after that improve on the distance element , be it 400m to FM, good for musclature, NM, longevity. From my experience in running/cycling, more practical and usable in real life as well. Less taxing on time, commitments this way. Not gonna be easy tho mixing both.

Now I still mid 30s haha. Anyway have to discuss with coach whether to just concentrate on trying to sub 1:30 next year or maybe try for one more scsm with the new organisers. Either way I think will first try to sub 40 for 10km haha. As expected I failed to get any of my overseas ballots. Now tally is fail 3 tokyo, 1 nyc, 1 Berlin and 1 chicago

Well since all ballots failed, next yr can just go for below 40 for your 10, actually i think overall easier to train (time schedule).......for those with young families. Also overall much cheaper also.
10k is actually still long distance running. Technically 5k also.

Focus on marathon ba. I find those that excel in marathon, their HM, 10k naturally will be good also. But those that focus on 5-10k,doesn’t mean their HM and marathon be good.

How do you guys dry your shoes ah

My house doesn't have direct sunlight, and I bought 2 shoe dryers on Shopee, but either doesn't work or not durable, spoils after half a year

This brand good ah, I got something similar but suddenly it doesn't work recently, less than a year after getting it

:(
been using for 1.5yrs. But i only use during summer period. Other seasons, my shoes don't get wet from my perspirations. Occassionally i will still wash off the dirt and use it to dry during non-summer seasons.
So fast so good. Affordable stuff below RMB50.

I think he is at Gout Gout's current level already. Until Gout Gout improves more.

Of coz no details if it's track or just a GPS timing at the PCNs (or sometimes they might be more accurately measured routes @ PCNs) but still that is very very fast on an amateur level.

I do know of some local running clubs that have runners clocking 15 mins plus...but those are expats working in Singapore. There is still a big gap between our national runners vs overseas...but let's not forget it is tough to find runners in Singapore as most would finish their studies and find a stable job. But i do feel that our Athletics association should be more stringent when selecting runners to represent Singapore instead of just for the sake of participation as there is cost involved ! All selected runners qualifying time should be more stringent, at least, close to those podium level. A good example is that the last runner in this video shouldnt even be there ! (more than a lap diff!)
