just ranting.

was running at ECP yesterday evening and running on the shared path, pedestrian/cycling track/lane. i couldn’t understand why there are people walking/running in the wrong direction. and then some whole family like to park themselves at the middle of the track/lane and talk.

I just "scolded" my pregnant colleague for going out to exercise during Sat and Sunday. Somemore her case is IVF baby and is sort of a risk pregnancy case coz the size/weight is tracking a bit on the low side.

Now she knows better. Also just purchased a small/cheap air purifier from shopee, Xiaomi compact S$95 only. Ok, i know i meddlesome but at least this lady listened to my long rants.
(anyway i quite ah with her all along one lah since 2022, so that's why i dare to meddle :ROFLMAO: )

Not to say cannot exercise, but you gotta choose the correct timings. Somemore she is not training for any race, there will always be better chances. Be mindful + safety first.

Yes, PM2.5 inhaled by pregnant mothers can pass through the placenta and enter the fetus's bloodstream.
Because PM2.5 particles are microscopic—measuring 2.5 micrometers or smaller in diameter—they are capable of bypassing the lungs' natural defenses, entering the mother's blood circulation, and crossing the placental barrier. [1, 2]
Medical and scientific studies highlight several critical aspects of this exposure:
    • Direct Fetal Exposure: Research has detected toxic air pollution particles (such as black carbon soot) directly inside the lungs, liver, and brains of developing fetuses as early as seven weeks into gestation. [1, 2]
    • Placental Impact: Apart from passing directly to the baby, PM2.5 can accumulate in the placenta. This can cause local inflammation, alter gene expression, and restrict the vital flow of oxygen and nutrients to the fetus. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
    • Associated Health Risks: This direct and indirect exposure increases the risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes, including preterm birth, low birth weight, gestational complications like preeclampsia, and potential long-term neurodevelopmental or respiratory issues for the child. [1, 2, 3]

This year I stopped my buying Niker VPfly for my year end marathon. Last year the VP Fly 4 was not good. They can't replicate the success of the OG VPfly and VPfly next%2. Both quality and perfromance just went downhill. Besides China shoes options are better and cheaper, which is why I haven't bought any western brand this year. ALso stop watching shoes reviewers of western brands too. No more Kofuzi, Believe in the run, Ed Bud..etc. .

Understand your frustrations bro!

I always run at stadium and always encounter a group of walkers (usually family members ) walking and occupied almost half ofthe stadium lane ( lane 3 to lane 6) and blocking other.

Then some single walker also dunno how to walk in the own lane. Walked at outer lane 7 instead the extreme right lane 8 and so when I need to overtake I have to decide what gap should I pass thru . Lane 6 or 8. When the moment I closed in behind . He bumped into my either my lane 8 or 6 suddenly.

I feel like striking my elbow into his face .

Even when I finished my run and wanted to do a slow recovery walk. I would just stick to lane 8 and let everyone overtake me on my left.
