You should start a swimming motivation thread lol

I would do swimming as well, if not that i do not have access to a private pool (condo).

As for delta swimming complex, need to cycle there, and the route from my place to there there sucks, ie take a fair bit of time + not fun at all. So........ without even trying i know it'd not work at all.

Left foot feeling alright so far. I hope i'll feel less pain on it during Sunday but probably not going to go out hard. Just completing the race is all i ask for.

Time to collect race pack later once i reach hk, and maybe go for a shakeout run.
Jia you! don't overdo it!

Need to wash and dry fast. For me, putting them ontop of the fridge right at the back where there some heat from the heat exchange can dry the shoe fast. Else try the old way of stuffing newspaper inside the shoe to soak up the water multiple times.

can buy a shoe washing machine 😜
I read the running forum, some runners do put them in the washing machine. But I am not putting dirty shoes the same mc as laundry.
Also the vigorous wash cycle and prolong soaking might degrade the glue and make the super foam lao hong faster since these are gas infused foam which lao hong over times.

thats y one needs a dedicated shoes washing machine, which to my limited understanding, they function more akin to dishwasher than normal washing machine. Also have functions to prevent degradation of glue, killing germs, etc.

Nevertheless, enjoy your race. I ran the last SCSM with a quad injury.

Oh yeah......and that route is far better, coz part of it is to the rail corridor. I need to take as much footpaths as possible but then it has to be relatively fast and not cross so many lights.

Yesterday i just rode along Tg pagar rd for a short moment nia, and nearly kena side-swiped, a car only passed by 20-30 cm during day time (on leave now). Damn sian.
I'm too old for this kind of shiat.
Suspect maybe my rear lights too many too bright or something, but unlikely to be utterly glaring as i tested out myself before and it was day time. But definitely not a visibility issue, more like a kena aimed issue. I am well aware that there are drivers who cannot drive (pedestrians/joggers crossing zebra or red/green man also affected) and it does seem there are more of them nowadays.

Somemore i am the type of 100% safety-first fella in which i turn also signal one. Even for running i also signal and put on red/white lights, no joke.
(problem is risk of cyclists hitting you from behind, if you are running and maneuvering too fast, not joggers)

ps. Drove for 13 years last time, 5 of which were of daily occurrence and along CTE/Eu Tong Sen/Sims drive during high traffic periods ie stressful and high traffic. So......not some youngster a bike using the roads or even road bike who just got his driving lic and then now just started road biking. *shrugs*
Attended 1 x defensive driving course and went Pasir Gudang with car special interest groups a few times.

For daily cheaper shoes i think can do...... Racing / specific shoes that are not like daily use then do by hand

Spin can use your big one.

I am not risking it with wash machine. Spin cycle and soaking is a no no for me with my running shoes. I am ok with hand wash. No need remove 100% of the smell.

I don't soak.
But I do spin my shoes, so far so good. For me the thing is too many shoes (not too much usage esp nowadays) so i just heck it. And anyway i don't really wash my shoes too many times that's another thing, coz not much smell anyway ( i wear socks + not a big sweater + no real long runs anyway)
Another factor is probably coz i choose to run on the nice surfaces eg MBS/Merlion/Sentosa beach shared path areas nowadays and also not on rainy days.

Actually i have only washed / spun my Puma DN2 and Novablast 3. Coz those are the dailys. The other shoes haven't even washed. lol

I just put this item to my favourite in taobao. Not that I am buying, but for reference and future comparison when I find something similar here.

After looking thru the item description, it's pretty much what I do manually. I use a 12vdc electric no pump to spray mildly laundry detergent water all over outside my house. Pressure is enough to remove dirt, but not stains which need a little scrub. Then bring to toilet to rinse off the detergent.

That 12V pump method you mentioned gave me an idea. I think maybe i shall pressure wash my Novablast 3 and my 4pcs of DN2s. (y) :ROFLMAO: As a prewash rinse and also after applying washing powder, to wash off the soap.

Then I wanna bai AF3, SC Elite 4, PB 4.0 :ROFLMAO:

Old ones no go new ones no come
