How long of a run is needed to flood a shoe with sweat 😮
Depends whether you are bui bui heavy sweater like me. On a humid evening, easy run at 12km and above wil kenna soaked for me. Good days, easy run for 15km and above.

Breathability of the upper is important for me. Plush thickly padded upper is a no no for me. I have the Asics Novablast v2, coz I want one pair for recovery. That padded upper of the shoes supposed to do LSD for colder climate country. For me is just short 5km - 10km in that shoes.

Today I maintained 6mins/km for 3.8km!

lol finally recover to 85% pre covid

but todays route is mostly downslope

will go for some upslope to train up further
Better avoid slopes to lower risk of injuries.

Climbing steps is safer.

what are the signs of over-training? does jelly leg count?

i did like 20mins of strengthen training yesterday and went for a 30mins Z2 run after that.
i woke up with jelly legs although it's a very very mild one.

Tonight warm sia.. looks like cooling morning/evening runs has ended.

Shoes got soaked from sweat again.

Solid rain again! (whole surrounding region of MY + ID)

Hope tonight will be a cool one also. On the bike usually dont really need lower RH%, coz of the wind. As long as the cool wind can cool, perspiration would be minimal for that kind of zone 2 RPEs.

Enjoy it while it lasts man....

for moi in summer, about around 8+km mark, can feel in my insoles of puma dn2.
after my 2 x 6km runs, i have to use dry cloth or tissues to dry the padded areas before sunning them. every few runs on this pair, i will soak in dettol before rinsing them off, soak up the wet areas with dry cloth or tissue before sunning them.

Ya this morning, around 9am to 11am, suddenly dark and cool. Light rain, very suitable for running. But now 3pm is hot.

Hope it's cooling. Anyway today schedule is less than 8km, shouldn't soak my shoes.

Ya, i also experience less wetness from sweat when I run tempo for the same distance, which I also attribute to the faster wind flow over my body. Plus also shorter duration.

Interesting, your using cloth to dry up first.

For me, straight away spray, (12Vdc pump from my early AC cleaning days), pump very mild laundry detergent + dettol water around the sweat soaked shoes, and making sure the upper absorbed the detergent water. Press here and there on the upper and insole followed by a solid rinse in the toilet. Let water dripped in the toilet before bringing them for air dry.

I think NE incoming isolated patches of rain also for 8pm and beyond....... not sure whether or not to go out for cycling

But for running it should be cooling.
