Who is driving? I wouldn't think it was Kiptum, since he is putting alot of effort in training for the coming Rotterdam MArathon. He would risk his fitness with alchohol.

I guess we will have to wait for more news to be announce. But still a pity we won't get to see him in action again. Sad day for the running community.

any of you have shoe recommendations for wide feet ? have already busted holes in two consecutive pairs of SAF emart NB running shoes within 9 months each, the latest one a wide variant...

- hole always on the right shoe, where the little toe is
- 5 to 8km each run, either on treadmill or outdoor PCN/pavement
- at least four runs a week
- BMI around 24
have you bought a new pair for your weekly runs?
you can consider the following if you have not
1) Asics Nimbus 26
2) Brooks Glycerin 21
3) New Balance Fresh Foam X more v4
4) Saucony Triumph 21
5) Bmai Pure
Do try them out and see which give you the best comfort.

6.24 min mile is like 9 min 46 sec 2.4km pace converted

Definitely doable, know of one guy (non-amdk) 50+ yr old in the running club that I go to, able to run 4.45 min/km for 2 sets of 3km.
Ya. My fastest ever was 9:57, which strangely was as an NSman in the midst of long hours and days in the accounting Big 4

Today is 8th day of recovery. Also my last post on my injury. Yesterday tried to do static exercise and I can finally do with my injured toe. It is on the way to recovery. The only problem is it is still purple in colour.

As for my right elbow, there is still flowing some liquid out when its glazed by something. Overall, it is not bleeding anymore. Wound closed with some pain every now and then.

Probably this weekend I can start doing light run liao.

been failing your IPPT all the way ?

For some time now yea.

I passed when they changed to the 3 station combined points system. After that, as I get older, the passing score reduced by like 10 seconds every year while I slow down by 20 to 30 seconds every year due to loss of stamina from inactivity.

Then after covid I realised I lost the entirety of stamina to the point I can’t even run for 3mins without stopping like really wtf.

hence now the motivation to pick up again

These few days keep raining but found a window to go for a jog

Attempt 1 last week was 3mins (LOL)
Attempt 2 doubled to 6 mins.
Today finally pushed to 10mins of very very slow pace jog without stopping.

Ignoring distance and speed.. just trying to get my heart pumping again after years of inactivity.

Gonna try and get used to 10mins before pushing further.
