At this pace, cfm running in Zone 5 but really can last for 35 mins 😱
Can see his HR stats in the vid..........

First 6.4k he was doing 180s 190s.

Last 3.6k after 22min mark, he started to exceeded 200bpm, momentary highest 211/212 bpm i chanced. This could be his MHR or at least very close to it.

Not Z5 for the whole run but likely some good portions last 3.6k was in zone 5. Before 6.4k LT2.

Is it that when you're elite runner or someone who had been running for quite sometime, you will not sweat a lot as compared to a beginner runner.

I was just wondering why some people sweat more than others when running the same distance 🤔
Bro, I do sweat alot too.
Just like this morning, shirt completely wet.

Ok lah....like AC conditions, 20-23 deg C.

That's why i like to test timings on cool days + with active cooling via iced water and maybe towel.
How you cool ah.

Drench towel in iced water then hang on your neck as you run? Liddat can stay cooling for how long?

Very small towel would do. If you use iced slushie, actually initially it would be pretty cold even after a warm up.
Easily 10 mins still a bit cool. Of coz you'd be going round and back to your own "aid station" to pour again.
If your running location is near your house or you bike there, no issue to setup.

Ice slushie put (500ml or 1.5L) bottle into freezer, note the time taken that it takes to freeze partially. Then take the bottle out to break up the ice and shake, then if needed freeze for a while more. If still have a good few hrs before running, place into lower compartment so that you don't overfreeze it into a solid block.

Otherwise, cold water + bring along a few ice cubes into the tumbler/cups to splash also works as you got past the aid station.

ps. Obviously you dont need to do this for easy runs.

See vids for idea

This is a very good episode on how important it is to know your 5km all out and to do it properly for consistency to check if you have improve. The first good informations for a new runner from a 5km all out is your Threshold HR, and Pace, coz that how you are going to zone your intensity realistically. Else you will see people, running in pseudo zone 5 for more than 30 minutes in their watch, coz of the default max HR most watches uses if you don't set up properly.

A lot to me. It's so much easier. You can control how fast you want to run. The temperature is so cooling and the most important as what bro Ender post in the treadmill run, you are force to run :s13:

Today free entry to ActiveSG Gym, you can tried on their treadmill running.
