Don't quite understand the exact route.

It starts from the inner road, run about 700m then turn to gravel and back to parts of the same inner road.

Maybe 2x of the same loop followed by remaining 3k full gravel.

Sharp turning radius initially.

They could have planned a full 2k+ on the inner road. More straights and a roundabout at 1.5k mark.

Followed by remaining 3k full gravel.

Yeah that means can try fast and/or long, or just a solid workout. Not as much discomfort from the heat.

It's one of those rare moment when you are at the right place right moment. AT CCP Nike outlet. I herd the IMM outlet also has it about the same time I got it. If I recall it was $149, with further 30% off.
I am hoping to get lucky this year with VP 3 or even VP 2 this year.

Sigh. Same as back in Mar 09 (Taylor Swift concert weekend). Cant maintain 3.30 into 3rd km, even though tried my best to kick and surge.

Jordan is a label under Nike
The word "Jordan" is pronounced as Qiaodan in Mandarin. To differentiate more clearly, many choose to use the term 中乔. However legally speaking, Qiaodan brand can be used because the English terms are different, Qiaodan vs Jordan. The logos are different too.

They probably chose the start/end points for logistics. More space there for tentage.

Signed up for it, since there's no other ongoing races that I am looking forward to that is up and available during that time like Great Green Run/Marina Run.

Also, almost a 3 months break from Skechers Run, would be good to downscale from 10k > 5k

The turn will probably slow people, that's why I willn't start out so quick in the beginning and rely on momentum and pacing from other people to guide me through the turns. After the turn, can start to open up and push the pace.

But yes, it's not meant to be a 5k pb run, I just want to try and beat my course record since the last time I race there, I ran the 4.3km full bedok reservoir in 16.45. This translates to a 5k converted pace of 3.56 min/km, which is the goal I want to beat.

Thanks, interesting info there. Always can rely on your knowledge for Chinese shoes makers.

After comparing, it seems, Xstep in China aren't going to give good sales price too. Not curious enough, coz I am not willing to spend above $150 next shoes. Just hope Nike does another outlets salse of Vaporfly or ALphafly before SCSM.

Actually off and on if you happen to be at the right time at one of the Nike outlet, you might catch the Vaporfly 3 at $189. Still out of my budget.
