It's good that he didn't reach the stage to require surgery, or even stenting. I read that even with stenting, the risk of future heart related disease is not reduced, it just take care the current symptoms.
Yea...and that's for BIL. Stenting gives current issue some years of added insurance nia. Have to actively reduce risk factors.
My mum's side got 2 uncles blockage. That was when my mum went for detailed checkup at NHCS coz she same as you, hypo. For cardiac based symptoms hers is arrythymia and HBP, though HBP might be partially attributable. Only thing found out after all the tests is some calcium at one of the heart valves, otherwise nothing.
ps. My mum even tho with the slight calcium scoring at the valve and already close to 80, cleared for even vigorous exercise but within reason. Not only MICT. Every 2-3 years just go back NHCS test / monitor again.
So at least if wanna talk about genetics, for me is low risk. For me myself i have done 2 stress tests, but only basic stress ECG. Well at least i guess better than those $60 ECG done at GPs. lol No CT calcium score , no CT Coronary Angiopgram, no ultrasound CIMT stuff....which would be the nearly 2k tests i touched on above.
Maybe do overseas ba....quite the cost. But seems like mikemktbt76 did everything except the CT Coronary Angiogram.
