Just keep the heart rate at around 110-130 bpm, can liao. It's a more or less thing, no accuracy issue for your goals. Duration 30 mins minimum, start with 2 times a week, then maybe 2 weeks later 3 times, then 2 weeks later 4 times a week. If you can do 6-7 times weekly, then go for it. Then after that 40 mins, 50 mins, 60 mins.

Really need a fair bit of time needed, it's not a low hanging fruit. That is why you hear so many people going "LOL, you won't lose weight / fats with exercise".

So that's why i mentioned cycling might be better and more sustainable. The first month i tried cycling (coz of running overuse injury called ITBS), i clocked 51 hrs. Or more than one and a half hours daily.
My bicycle parked downstairs 2 years both tyres bo hong

Oh you already have a bike......just go to mama shop and buy a pump. $6.90 for a small one nia. Decathalon got $3.90 mini ones, will do the job also.

I'm training with just a $178 MIC foldie, it doesn't matter, does not need to be a 2k 5k bike.
Got the push to maybe get a Fnhon with a Tiagra 4700 10-spd and litepro hydraulic brakes, better tyres.....less overall resistance also, but not sure what next years brings for me so trying to hold back spending as much as possible.

If you feel you can also walk/run, then maybe get the New Balance rebel v3 or something.

I feel like if i slap on a bluetooth speaker, i really can be out there cruising 18-20kmh at around 115-120 bpm (zone 2 definitely) for as long as 3-4 hrs also no issue. In between take some short breaks, relac the kar chng.
There is very minimal cardiac drift......... due to the higher winds.
Esp with nowadays cool weather. So at night also can do.....with running i can't, coz 7pm sure warmer than say 6am.

That's why i always share songs from yt here, just dl to phone or watch, play over bluetooth speaker, best.

If "good" means higher intensity, then yes, since sweating is a cooling mechanism and a higher core temp is a function of higher intensity.

Heng, quad injury didn't flare. Just minimal discomfort all the way. But need to do stretching at every drink station I stopped.

The trainasone predicted my timing to be 4:22. And I got 4:22:21. This AI quite accurate in analysing performance.

Good weather just now, luckily did not rain heavily at south side along the route. Other areas in SG esp NW side raining rather heavily.

Took the chance to ride on anson and robinson road LHS, one year once (runners RHS).
Song.... :ROFLMAO: AETOS never said anything coz main cohorts passed (8+ and 9am)

edit - raining @ south side now. But i think vast majority either finished or dropped out by now even for walkers.

Yeah that 8+-9am plus period saw some "casualties" by the sides, a few semi lying or sitting by the side, some tended by medics. Usually is cramp.

My kid and I were riding along Keppel, then Anson/Robinson, and i turned to MBS/GBTB. MB then headed back liao, coz sky was really dark and wind blowing. That time really nice weather tho........

Didn't managed to get sub 3.5hrs today but i got a PB for marathon (3h 35mins) which is good enough for me already. That slow start right where all FM and HM runners run tgt made my pace slowed down but luckily i'm able to get back from there and maintain my pace throughout the run. HR was at Z2 but i didn't want to push cause i'm so scared of hitting the wall. Now when i think about it i kind of regretted not pushing cause i still have tank after crossing the line.

Seeing that cadence straight line made me feel like the whole year of training was worth it. :)

The uncle who fell in front of me. Don’t know if his head knock the concrete road block. Very scary. Life can’t play around. Must know the limits

I quite enjoy running stand chart compared to 2xu. 10km run feels like can run forever.

For the 16km I ran at a constant pace of 6/7km.
