Any running club is fine, as long as there are other runners you can pace with. Helps that the usual running route there is the park connector that I hit my 4k PB in the pastI think many more rike Garmin Running Club, Running department have free drinks

u gota describe what kind of ache on your ankle. i got pain on my ankle, but when i run, i still can manage. there are many parts of ankle. inner / outer. or u can try youtube. some simple solutions are ice, or rub massage. but we are not doctors ourself. u can go see a sports massage and usually can solve this "hinder" in your mind. else go for a tcm to checkI have a question for runners here.
I am now taking to running every morning as I am on leave and have more spare time. These few days, I wake up with my legs feeling pretty sore, which usually goes away after I am done with my morning jog (nothing far, about 3.6 km).
I am also, as I am typing this, having an ache in my right ankle. Curious if this is normal, if there's anything I should be concerned about or keep in mind, and whether it's okay to continue running daily.
I am aware of the usual advice - listen to your body, rest if you have to, but I am also not very sure if this is my body's way of telling me I need to take it easy, or that I am out of shape and it's normal to feel this way. I do enjoy running, and would like to continue as much as possible before I have to go back to work in another 2 week's time (where I then go back to jogging mainly on weekends).
Thanks all for your responses.
Rest until your legs are no longer feeling sore or pain. That is the safest way to get back to running again.I have a question for runners here.

Did you do much running with regularity before this period? The muscle soreness might just be lactic acid buildup and the microtears in your muscles if you aren't running regularly.I have a question for runners here.

I also don't really know how to describe it. Think of it like an ache from walking too much. It's not a sharp shooting pain of any sort.u gota describe what kind of ache on your ankle. i got pain on my ankle, but when i run, i still can manage. there are many parts of ankle. inner / outer. or u can try youtube. some simple solutions are ice, or rub massage. but we are not doctors ourself. u can go see a sports massage and usually can solve this "hinder" in your mind. else go for a tcm to check
May come to that. I dunno if I am alone in that I find running to be quite addictive, and a great way of starting the morning, like you have accomplished something in the morning. Now that I am on leave and not working, it feels kinda weird when I wake up and don't do something. If still feeling discomfort, stop, go home, rest up until you have fully recovered. Less is more in these circumstances as your body will heal and become stronger when you have rested enough.
Prior to this, I typically run maybe once or twice a week, since I work pretty long hours and don't really have the time or energy to do so on weekdays. Last week, I ran about once every other day, and was looking to up my frequency this week.Did you do much running with regularity before this period? Could be. I don't really know enough about the intricacies of running to be able to comment more on this. I do run the same route and distance every day. Might that contribute in some way?The ankle soreness might relate to the way/angle (pronate or supernate) you're planting your feet, your stride and! or cadence
