Bro do buzz me about homes 10km run...
I will try to ask the organizers whether any time limit to fish the 10km run
Cos I am a very slow jogger.
Time limit is 2 hours

Also, seems to have 15 minute period after flag-off time to run. So, in case the queue is long for bag deposit, wouldn't be so bad.
5 minutes pace for 1 hour run outdoor is too fast for me

Just finished my LSD, can sleep well tonight liao
20240712 25degC xtep 160x5.0
10.04km @ 6'13" av
10.27km @ 7'06" av
checked the weather forecast today and heavy rain will start around 7.30am, so set my alarm at 4.15am and started running at 5am
today's run is very smooth on both legs until last part due to fall in stamina. Can see from the pace in the timing below.
coros app indicated my VO2max dropped to 38 today :ROFLMAO:

My watch predictor times dipped since I did 1.5km warmup + 5km threshold run (2.8km @ 5k goal pace+ 2.2km recovery jog) + 10km run at HMP pace yesterday and 15.5km LSD today.

50% of my weekly mileage within 2 days back to back. Watch gave 72 hours of recovery time right after my LSD.

I will be taking a break from running on Sunday/Monday to rest up for my Tuesday intervals. Managed to run 60k in 5 days.

Built your base. Up your volume. For amateur doing FM, personally feel 60km to 80km a week for base is good before embarking on a training plan. Advance runners will do 80 to more than 100km.

Chio bu buanged.

Must be esp careful when wet.

Heck seriously i saw a jogger slipped on the RC yesterday morning too, coz of the rain the day before (RC some parts very shaded and high RH% so very difficult to be totally dry unless no rain for more than 24hrs and hot/dry weather)

Is there any fastest 5k goal in mind?

Currently my 5K is about 43 minutes.

To be able to finish in 30 minutes will need to run at a pace of 6 minutes which is too fast and even if I can reached that pace, I will never be able to maintain running at this pace for long.

Maybe when my right feet get better then see cause I don't want to stress my feet too much.

Tried the walk up with jogging pants and jogging tee With jogging shoe.
my timing drop by almost 30 second.

Singapore weather with Jogging pants 😱

I so far went outside and run never saw a lot of people wearing jogging pants to run except gals wearing yoga pants to run. Guys maybe those knee level tight pants but quite rare.

u have improved by leaps n bounds, congrats!

Treadmill I am okay one. My 2 hour run was at Zone 2 n I still can go further if I wanted to.

But outdoor you will never see me at this pace n even so I will not be able to maintain this pace for long and will end up running in Zone 3 or 4.

I think most important is to get my right feet on par with my left feet condition now.

could be one of my favorite walking route going forward, its non-stop walking saved for some rest stops, 2 traffic lights. if i walk to town, super many traffic light stops, and bad air quality. walking PCN feels good, good air quality.

Just a reminder for those doing FM for SCSM this year. 18 weeks program will start end of July, just two weeks. But if you haven't built your base, no worries, usually the first part of the periodize training plan is building base and you can start tomorrow gaining some more mileage gradually.
17 weeks program will start in 1st week of August.

For those wanting to DIY their own training plan for the coming SCSM, this video shows the breakdown and give example how to structure a training schedule based on the three popular training concept. Most training plans are close to the pyramidal training method, coz once invoke race pace training, it's pyramidal for average
runners.

Take note the below zoning uses a 3 zones system. A rough translation to the 5 zones system we talk about , Zone 1 is roughly be the zone 1/2 of 5 zones system, while zone 3 is roughly be in the zone 5 of the 5 zones system.

Talk in 3 zones below.

I suggest don't try the Norwegian method if your don't know your exact LTHR or pace to be exact. Their zone 2 threshold is running just under LT2 and not anywhere within zone 2, the Norwegians knows exactly where coz they literally measure their Lactate, <4mmol, for every 10min or so per lap. Ya, prick their finger for blood test, that serious.

Pyramidal

Polarize

Threshold (Norwegian) - I think there's an error in his Day 7, should be in Zone 3.

I am referring to most generic plan that are usually 17 or 18 weeks plan. There are 12 weeks plan too, that is if you are already a seasoned runner with about more than 60 km/week average(not peak).

You can refer to this scheduler for the popular online free plans. But I would just try out the Garmin coach plan instead, since it's guided and comes with your Garmin 965.
