Can lar. Just use a cheap Chifi integrated for few hundred dollars :ROFLMAO:

Luxury watches if not those limited edition or cannot buy over the counter one don't think will appreciate. Buy luxury items must be prepared to lose than more than half the value once buy brand new.

Buy a nice luxury sport watch hearsay can feel satki and run faster.

Nowadays I only buy what I need n not what I want cause I think I had already gone through those hobbies and enjoyed enough liao.

Actually my goal of running is to reduce weight and stay healthy but never expected I will participate so many race

Me too. I realize running marathons is a great way to discover new sights at countries I visit. My goal now is just to be able to run FM more comfortably at decent pace, no need to break record.

The last FM I ran in Phuket could be more comfortable, I did have to push myself at the last 10km and my ankle hurt badly for a few days after the run. Hopefully the next one in Hanoi I could enjoy my run better,

Just look past all the ads on his supplements....
Actually his vids are quite truthful + makes sense and sustainable. Even for those just looking to be healthly first and fitness performance second.

Anyway he is barely older than my kid, power.

moi stuck at 12km mental barrier. I know i can go further but maybe is cos i run alone or what, but it becomes very soul sucking and too much time :frown:

If want long cardio, best to stick to cycling, if you are talking about soul sucking., esp with the weather here. Stick on a bluetthooth speaker, every day 2hr (even 3hrs possible) zone 2 also can (maybe 1 day off day, also best to have at least 7 hours of quality sleep). (but need halfway break to re-fuel, eg mcdonald's softee is good, now no more Hershey's liao)
You can imagine the amount of base you can build. Even if you dont get competitively fast, you'd still get pretty fast. Definitely significantly faster than those weekend warriors even 1 to 2 decades younger than you on better bikes.

15 min warmup, Yasso 800s, 5 min cooldown.
Tried to go 10km pace for first 5 and 5km pace for 2nd 5, but 8th and 9th set I was gassed. Pushed for the last set with remaining energy.

So base on the Yasso predictor, is 3:20 the timing you should train for? I only know watch predictor is way too optimistic, at least for my Coros. Except for 5k and 10k, the HM and FM seems like impossible.

I thought SC card members just key in the credit card number into the promo code will get the discount, no special link. I only know the 300km club will get a priority link which is over liao.

Supposedly means I can do marathon in 3:24. But I don't think I will aim that fast. Aiming for 3:30 at stan chart. As Kuudere mentioned yesterday, maybe can use as more of 6-7km fitness indicator

I find alot of predictors are way too optimistic, especially for Singapore weather. The weather has minimal impact for these short duration tests, but it is predicting a long duration event like FM that is heavily impact by weather. If we were racing in Berlin or Valencia, yea, these predictors may be more accurate.

BTW, very curious how SRY academy schedule your workout for SCSM? Has he planned all the workouts all the way till SCSM? Or is it new workouts will be scheduled as you go along base on your progression and condition?

Now I am doing a lot of cross training so I am not sure. Maybe will switch back to his running workouts soon?

Indeed bicycle would be more costly technical and got quite the learning curve.
And even then best to get something that a local bike shop is within 2km so that you can bring it there easily/fast in case need any quick repair / component changes.

All these race time predictors are not accurate for SG conditions one. For marathon you need to add chao chao 20 mins or so, 10mins for a half and 5 mins for a 10k for sg race times.
