Agree but also be on guard. Wait Walkatolly come "excuse me can I walk with you" your whole group become famous on youtube.

I am just going to keep improving from here.

112km/week is amazing. There's this US coach that collected data on his athletes that managed to get top timings. For the 5km, 65 miles/week is the gold standard for peak times. 10km definitely higher mileage to peak.

Seems like the weather's getting hotter nowadays, can feel the heat during running even at night. :s22:

I got heat rash yesterday, now seeing the doctor. Symptoms disappeared in the morning but don’t know whether will relapse if I go for a run

Wah take care bro, remember to keep yourself hydrated too during this time. I also try to bring a soft flask now during runs.
I’m quite fine with it, I sleep without aircon anyway. Running at least got some wind blowing. Walking is hotter for me.
That is true too, i also kinda experienced some sort of wind during running even though its hotter then usual.

I think if your main goal is to lose weight and improve your fitness, you can start with 3 times a week.

Do 2 easy longer runs with one day rests between them. Then one hard shorter run with 2 days rest.

If your muscles are still sore, that means you were pushing yourself too hard during your run. If you have a watch that tracks HR, your average HR roughly should be below 70% of your max HR for your easier run and around 80% for your hard run.

I did not wear a watch when running. I was actually slow jogging and as an ex sportsman I understand that I have not use for too long so it's sore for few days .. if I start of with 2 run a week of 3km is it good? I have swimming session once a week too. It's quite tight for me due to work

Started out my run at 10:30pm, Coros Pod measured average temperature at 32C that late at night.. LOL. Surprising, my shoes not that wet, so humidity was kinda lower than usual, that makes the run was rather bearable. And the wind too,

Seems like you have no running goal, nor siao on running. I think just target more than 150 mins per week of moderate intensity exercises just for health as recommended by our own hpb. Each session about 30 to 45 mins. Two runs and one swimming session should be able to hit this weekly target.

@Lchlch

You know this club? A large number of them racewalk gait one. Some are speedwalk, some briskwalk.

Saw them at MBS today.

Maybe in a few years i might join them when i older.

Think today they having a TT of sorts.

One or two quite solid, able to do around 6.00 pace and racewalk form pretty decent (hip rotation etc). Remember, these are like 60+ years old.
I even saw one got slight lifting, you'd need that to attain 6.00 pace or lower.
