This evening after 7:30pm run, 31 C on my watch, hot. 59 minutes run by TAO is still bearable. Might go topless if continue to be above 30 C for evening for those 90min training.
have you found the TAO to be useful so far? i'm thinking of cutting my subscription after 1 year.
the runs that they recommend doesn't seem to be in-line with what i have read so far.
they don't seem to take the 80/20 approach to training.

It's periodized training. Most training plans do not follow 80/20 approach. It's more of a pyramidal approach. Even the recent training fab, the Norwegian method is pyramidal which is rather anti (80/20), coz the there's focus of the training is at zone 3(5 zones table) where is totally forbidden in 80/20 method.

My gripe with TAO is there are times it pushed me too hard and then there are times where I feel I need to run more than it prescribed. I will stick with it til this SCSM and decide if want to carry on. Last year my timing did improve for SCSM with TAO training, 4:22. I was at the 4:34 - 4:38 range for three years with generic training plan.

Tonight can hoot, hope rain can stop by 4pm coz if not the grounds will be wet and dangerous.

Will try new fuel.
46 of carbs and 260mg sodium, shd be ok to try on the bike leg.
6 cans $4.50, or 75 cents per session. Cheap enough

Also upping my creatine slightly to 7-8g during the 1-2 days before serious workout/trials till next year Q2 till the 2 races. Coz my usual maintenance dose daily is only like just below 1 scoop (5g)
5g for over 2 months no GI issue no effect to sleep (coz of stomach churning etc) etc.

Views from inside the peloton.

Actually it's scary to be honest. Last time i was racing in PG or Sepang it's different coz not as packed and you are in a metal can.

Route is out. Looks like the usual Sheare bridge is gone, replace with another part of the sheare bridge at 10 to 11km. I guess meeting the steep slope earlier in the race should be kinder, compare to near the end of the race where you are almost totally exhausted.
Also this time round, WCH is at the 2nd half of the race instead of the first half. Already some runners in chat group foresee heat issue as the WCH has no shade.
