Glad that you are back.
This week I tried to get back with TAO training. After the 2 weeks absence, it assigned three hard sessions this week. Managed to complete the first two, progression and 3.2km assessment. The 3.2 assessement really dropped from previous one. And last night tried to do the scheduled interval ruin, first lap, already lao hong. Guess I am not ready to get back on track yet.
Slowly but surely!

I have one ON shoe for walking/casual that I got in US outlet. Didn't try their running range
I like On shoes. It works better than Hoka. Hoka was a yucks to me. I did it for 7km and it was too clunky. Had to return it. lol.

only problem with On shoes, it tends to trap big stones in the grooves of the sole. Other than that, it was easy to break into.

For me ish taobao / CINA. :frown:

But all these events are really lifestyle but of coz there is a certain performance component in it, see if you like or not. Saw a couple of times their running group around MBS and even till Orchard ION crossing over to cuscaden. Got lululemon flag one, sometimes got 1 fella will jump onto platform and wave the big flag to give sarpork. I think other groups like Puma, ASCIS even the big NB group all no flag.

I saw a lululemon sorta private sale last weekend at Vivo, inside all the people cheong, like free like that. I "sneaked" in together with my kid (totally out of place coz we were in our cycling attire/helmets/safety rear lights clipped to our rear jerseys......the price still like fwah.
One pants like still over 200 bucks.
My kid and i looked at each other smile smile.

Bonus. We call this the PENIS brand. (PNS)

me ok with lifestyle brands, so long they serve me well functionally, aesthetically pleasing to my senses and fit well within my budget. am someone rather particular about aesthetics, which is why i won't consider those appear ugly to my eyes.

qiaodan brand is one example and qiaodan feiying pb3.0 white version was bordering my lowest acceptance threshold. 😂

too expensive even i like the design, no moolah also won't consider lol

it was a Hoka Clifton 9, it was weird, I felt a discomfort on my ankles with it
could be too soft for your ankles which i had similar issues.
you could have tried other HOKA shoes to understand if you experience similar issues.

Just bought a Saucony Endorphin Speed 5 and a Asics Novablast 5, excited to start using them

How often do u run and what distance?
Let us know which one better between these two shoes.
I'm using dynablast 2 and dynablast 5. Considering to get novablast 5 as well.

BTW can i ask you about bending the hanger back?

2 weeks ago my kid knocked his bike onto my parked bike (resting on roadside kerb, ughh) and my bike fell sideways to the walkway, my rear derailleur edges can see some scratch marks.

Fast forward to today, my 11th - 12 gears got a bit of difficulty getting into it. Went to Hup Leong and they said is hangar bent, they do not stock my model. Red colour is the hanger right?

Can i ask if it is safe to bend it back by brute force? Heard about it before as a quick and dirty fix, bo bian.
I tried it already and it seems a fair bit better already, shifting is 90% of the time ok, but i was already at the limit of my bending strength. I wanna get to 99%, not sure if it is good to ask my kid + me 2 pax strength to bend it.

I used my 2 hands to cusp the blue circled part and just yanked it out towards me. I think when these things fall, the impact peak force is quite high, hence bending it inwards. So we gotta bend it outwards.
It's like using your hands to break a string, you use gradual constant strength to pull, it wont break.
But if you instantaneously yank it, it would be easier to break coz the instantaneous peak force is higher.
So if wanna use constant force, it's gotta match that instanteous peak force, which isnt easy.
