Has anyone had experience with cheap insoles? Do they actually work?

sg-11134201-7rd40-luk3o2qmn0nzbb.webp
I bought several insoles and switched insoles from other shoes.

These cheaper insoles are okay for walking or slow runs. Usually very thick so when slotted into shoe, not much space left. Become tight fitting.

I prefer Qiaodan Plaid 2 insole. Thin, bouncy and cost less than SG$10.

DAWN RUN
previously felt abit discomfort on one of my left toes when i ran long distance. Today did a slow 20km and one of the left toes bled in my 小鲶. Have to use a thinner socks. Despite this, shoe felt very good cruising in slow runs for long durations.
2 days ago also did a 6km with a range of speed from 8min/km to 3:30min/km and the 小鲶 responded very well. Walking after the run also felt good. Will try a long distance run when i am back in SG during CNY to know better in warmer conditions.

Heh.....not sure who would think Everesting would be an ok endurance race challenge to try.

The amt of calories for a 70kg is probably around 5 times that of a full marathon.
So basically if you are using gels, you'd need to prep 5 times the amount of gels / bananas (and probably at least 1 or 2 light sized real meal, eg 1 decent sized soba or instant noodles).
Havent even touched on the mental aspect.

小鲶 outsole wearing off after 90km due to my supination issues. Left is worse than right, which the former is totally flattened and the midsole foam has been worn off slightly.

My pair of 361 eleos already seeing some wear and tear around the out sole after clocking around 100km on it. Kinda surprised as i been using it only for slower paced runs.

Probably going to hoot 1 more pair of china shoes before year end and considering between Li-ning 飞电5 Challenger and Bmai 惊碳Fly Plus. Any users of these 2 shoes can comment? Dynafish 小鲶 is quite readily available now in all sizes and colorways at their taobao official store but cant ship outside of china(the change to china address and change back to sg address trick doesnt work) so have to use 3rd party forwarder.

I want to try the Bmai but too many shoes. So just watch review. Looks promising. :D

Actually it is true.

Next time if you are unmotivated and dont feel like going out for your session, just think of those who are really sick, dying or phyiscally unable to workout due to disabilities, people who would pay anything just to workout again.
That is your privilege so get off your ass and do it.
