Damn solid! 3.30 I can only hold for 200m before my heart and lungs burst! 😂

Then i think you can even try 3:00 flat but shorter distances like 120m...... good for neuromuscular, running form/RE etc.....even training cadence/stride length which is critical for faster running. Power, form, technique, hip range of motion etc.

Just need more cardio training from your other more fav sports also, slowly inch up to 1k, 2k, 3k even 5k
30 mins total is something like 4 x WCH which is part of what i do also i guess.

Actually 1k, 1.5k / mile also can "race" one, if that is your cup of tea (running fast / bursts )

curious to know what is the top speed you can achieve in these runs.
i did 6x1000m yesterday, clocked between 4:55-5:25min/km, top speed max at around 3:30min/km but cannot sustain. Am thinking i need to do more short sprints (100/200/400) to build up my speed before working on sustaining top end speed. now old liao anaerobic fitness damn lousy.

Think I need to improve my form and some strengthening.

Because sometimes 80m can't even hit 3.30. But 100-200m with more runway to run can go slightly under.

Ya I will work on the fast 1k, 1.5k and 2k. Occasionally do a 3k. (last did was around 4.55/km pace. Some more following 2 young guys as pacers haha)

Now very lazy and scared of doing 5k TT.

Fastest is just under 4.30/km.

Usually first and second 1000m will start at 4.50s then gradually faster.

5th and 6th set run as fast as possible. Fastest top speed 3mins+ only at the last 80m. Cardio cannot tahan!

got to progressively train... you already varying speed into your runs.. just have to progressively increase max speed duration. But got to warn you damn siong!

you can target 3.30 for 1km .. then 2km... can up 3km or more if you like pain like moi :ROFLMAO:
sense of achievement different from running long.

Amazes me that PRC makers can decide to fake anything no matter how cheap the original thing costs. Was searching through TB for the feidian 5 challenger which can be had for below 300rmb. To us, thats cheap and worth it. But then i see fakes going for below 100rmb and there are plenty buyers. Mostly parents buying for their kids so its a cost saving and vanity thing. But hopefully the kids dont use them for proper running and what not.

Searching through PRC social media the past few days, been seeing quite a few reviews for the new Anta Zone2 90 which is supposedly their release to rival EVO SL. Priced around 500+rmb on TB, higher than the xiaonian which for most folks is the current benchmark for price/performance ratio.

most parents in China will not buy fake running shoes, cos authentic ones aren't expensive nowadays.
actually no difficult to produce fakes in china especially one is in the respective manufacturing line.
so long one gets the appropriate molds, one can play with different materials to produce similar products.
using the LiNing 赤兔9 ultra as an example, the fakes probably uses different compounds for the midsoles. As for the Super Boom Capsule, they may use an alternative matured technique and material, eg. nike air capsule, but make it look like the original.

面子 very impt in CN. So sure got demand. Esp so that there is a bigger % (not in tier 1/2 cities of coz) who are not so well to do. Those expensive western branded bikes and accessories lagi a status symbol.....the more expensive the better.

Maybe it's like the same as SG chinese here but 5-10X magnified.

Even for local, I ever came across several times in shops like ASICS / Running Lab etc the parents buying top-tier race shoes for their sec kids, most prob is for X-country 4.8km. The parents / kids none the wiser but they just know them brands and maybe a few models here and there. Must be best foam and carbon etc. But of coz over here not many chinese stores until like this year proper.

During my stadium runs will regularly see few groups of teens(probably secondary school at best) doing sprint training in their fancy schmancy track spike shoes. Honestly, sometimes i wonder if its even good for them to be wearing track spikes at their age.
