this year I don't have motivation for half or full yet. Hence trying the 15km
I always wanted to try the 15km race, but now I got a lot of reason to do that since it's part of the marathon plan I am using now. Willn't be tapering, just do it as a training race and see how fast I can go.
its a really fun distance. me think seasoned guys will agree 10k too short.. 21k is a mental barrier to go all out.
but 15k.. sweet spot.. go all out at most 65min sure can tahan 💪
It's strava distance, so I don't mind racing it. Can train my race nutrition skills.
i sign up for hm but thinking now with my PF maybe i just go there for a relax run.. a bit regreted never sign up for 15km run.. lol..
There's a 15km run in the 2nd half of the year, singtel run. Can go for that :ROFLMAO:

ya i was reading on this and i am worried also.. its been slightly over a month since my last visit to podiatrist.. seen her before cny. think will schedule a visit by this end month if still doesnt get too well.. sianz half..

Will be fine in the end eventually, is not any big case, just a different course of treatment and management but need a correct diagnosis. Only diff is, just a matter of duration/time till full recovery.

I also read about the ITBS of mine, about things like recurrences being of higher probability.

This is coz it is just a symptom manifestation, the root cause must be addressed.
Those series of videos that i shared this afternoon, esp one of them mentioned this specifically. Must be addressed from a whole system pov holistically.

Anyone experienced before side muscle next to the ankle sore and every time you take a step it feels like it’s being pulled? Do you know what it is and how to deal with it? Mileage about 10km 3 times a week. Thanks in advance.

The ankle there right next to it slightly behind no muscle one. Is tendon. Confirm it is tendon?

Try to roll inwards and outwards for your feel maciam you about to roll your ankle when walking/running like that. Put your finger slightly above and slightly back at your ankle, shd be able to feel that tendon move a bit when you roll inwards and outwards.

The pain is for that tendon right? See below, LHS pic. Posterior tibia tendon

Yes, I believe that’s it. It’s slightly above and behind the ankle, and when trying to flex the leg in and out it hurts. It’s a muscle/tendon that runs from the ankle upwards the lower calf area.

Doesn’t seem like it

Shd be pretty ok, not too bad.

Kuudere gave you a good guide......it's the same tendon.

Tendon connects muscle to a bone at insertion points.

Last time i am sure everyone has rolled their ankles outwards before. Is this very similar in pain/feeling....after having rolled your ankle and then you have this similar "pulling feeling" in your own words?
As you mentioned also, "when trying to fix the leg in", same movement as when you have had rolled your ankles outwards.

If it is, then it's the same thing.

How to fix, same as before. Just rest for a week or so, these few days just walk about and have some basic movement a few times a day of say 5-10 mins each, but dont put pressure / load on it.

Dont want to be too much of an online / dr google...... see if got any correlations to what you previously did and maybe avoid that. But shd be largely fine.

Clinical Correlates
Peroneal tendinitis is a clinical syndrome characterized by sharp, constant, and severe ankle pain that is localized behind and just distal to the lateral malleolus. This painful condition is often seen as a result of acute inversion injuries to the ankle although it is also seen with overuse or misuse of the ankle and foot, as seen with repeated jumping and side-to-side movements required when playing soccer, basketball, and football. The problem is also seen in long distance running with improper shoes or from running on soft or uneven surfaces. The pain of peroneal tendinitis will be exacerbated with loading of the foot, especially with toe walking. With injury to the superior peroneal retinaculum, the tendons of both muscles may sublux creating additional ankle instability and a snapping sensation. With rupture of the tendons, pain and decreased strength is noted, especially with lateral cutting movements and push off portion of walking. If the acute insult to the tendons does not heal, the pain and functional disability can become chronic, with the pain waxing and waning depending on the patient’s level of activity.
