Did a 18km+ tempo run at ECP this morning in under 1h 27mins.
Still amazed at AP3's ability to hold pace. I have done 1km/2km/5km repeats, 15k TT, 30km LSD and even a FM. This shoe just eats it all up! It also does faster 5:30 pace easy runs too. And it doesn't beat up the legs too.
Adios pro 3 is a racing shoe that can be like a daily trainer . My 1st pair already 700km plus and still good. Now on the 2nd pair. I still have 2 more pairs.

Cassandre Beaugrand.

The 30:52 run set back in April, record setting for French national record for road 10k, but ran until peng san and she is still aiming to improve.....

Super talented. Technically, she runs faster than pure running athletes in France for this attempt, which really never happens. (actually she doesn't even run running races often and she usually runs in her swimsuit in the street)

In her interview, she already admitted that she doesn't even have much of an aerobic base in running for the 10k.

Yet another vid.......

OMG, and i thought my standing broad jump standard is pathetic. (im still doing ~ 2m mark which is actually still a fail for IPPT last time, still far away from those really fitzais who are young)
Those who are like older than 40 would be familiar with this.

Another somewhat similar way of testing this is the chair sit to stand test and number of reps you can rep out in 30 seconds. (age 50 range best not to drop below 19 reps iirc).

Just did this test, totally new mobility test to me....... interesting, totally no issue.

The other mobility test i have tried is the dorsiflexion test (found out i had at least 35 deg of dorsiflexion)

A full wall slide is primarily a mobility test (and exercise) for the shoulders, thoracic spine, and scapula, assessing active range of motion and neuromuscular control. While it requires passive flexibility to reach the end position, it evaluates the ability to actively hold the spine, shoulders, and wrists against the wall. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Key Aspects of the Wall Slide:
  • Mobility vs. Flexibility: It tests your active ability to control shoulder joints (mobility) rather than just passive tissue length (flexibility).
  • Assessment Areas: It checks for thoracic extension, scapular control, and shoulder rotation.
  • Performance: Success is defined by keeping the low back, upper back, shoulders, elbows, and wrists in contact with the wall throughout the movement.

10k 34:34
HM 1:13:06

2 weeks specific run training for HM ramping mileage to 63k/wk. (actually not gradual at all)
Suspect with such "long" race distance wrt his 2 weeks run training, will need rather long recovery duration, even if he didnt kena any injury.

Before that only 1 run per week of 5-10k (never said was it easy or threshold or what but slightly faster than 5 min/k pace) and the week before the 2 wks training never even ran.

His HR ok (aerobically), ok issue cited was that muscularly, he could not hold onto the faster pace he was hoping to hold, coz 2 weeks of gradual ramping up to 63k/wk is still woefully insufficient for that kind of timing.

Regardless, his FTP power is also quite imbalance, indicating both rather strong strength (cycling muscles) and more importantly great cardio fitness and lactate clearance etc.

no shame sir
No lar. Just that i am way past the age for flashy stuff. Prefer the things i wear and use to be as bland and muted as possible. But honestly, Bmai have some of the most flashy and outrageous shoe colorways among china brands.

I remember someone here previously asked whats the best china brand alternative to the SB3. Well not china brand but cheaper alternative seems to be the Saucony Endorphin Azura which i saw selling on PDD for around 600rmb.

Sawe quite possibly has not peaked yet
Sub 1:59 is literally a certainty (actually conversion of Jacob Kiplimo's HM timing is already sub 1:59 and bro's also not peaked yet, and Yomif Kejelcha also not peaked yet)
Can only pray that Berlin 2026's weather dont cock up. 😅 :o

We also know that he can run a 2:02:16 in heat index temperature that is similar to Singapore's coolest non-raining mornings. (24-25 deg C 50-60% RHduring the elite race, start was 21 deg C @ 0915h).
Also notably, he was 4 mins ahead of 1st runner up.
Other 4 min gaps :
  • 2018 Berlin Marathon: Eliud Kipchoge's 2018 win is widely cited as having a massive gap in elite marathoning, with a 4:43 margin (2:01:39 vs 2:06:22).
  • 2022 Berlin Marathon: Eliud Kipchoge repeated a similar feat, winning in 2:01:09, finishing 4 minutes and 49 seconds ahead of second-placed Mark Korir.
