@rECKleSSfElla

First impression of the Dowin Hurricane Max.

Firm, stable, somewhat clunky at slow speed.

Good if you prefer the more running power you put in, the more the shoe returns.

Basically for people who prefer doing the majority of the work.

Can run fast and slow but not as snappy as the R2.

Weight only slightly heavier than R2 but feels clunky. Maybe the thick double layer of foam caused that.

Redhare 9 Ultra's triple layer foam is even thicker but is saved by the bounciness of its boom capsule layer.

I have similar thoughts as this review from 3:50 onwards. Hope the foam would break-in faster and won't take 150km. :(

Thanks for the review. Seems somewhat the same as Superblast 2 which its trying to replicate. Firm foam that requires breaking in. But if its to the point of being clunky then i am having second thoughts.

I would take the R2 anytime over the Hurricane Max. Much easier to run and relax in.

Would still give the Dowin chance to break-in and slowly learn to appreciate it's firmness. 😂

Since you like the Redhare 9U, it's worth to consider another pair at current cheap price.

If really wanna nit-pick, I would say the build quality of R2 and Hurrican Max to be $80 level.

Whereas Redhare would be $100 level. More refined all round.

So at current $60++ price is pretty great deal.

Yar if can get another pair of Redhare 9U for $50-60 then its no brainer. But part of me just has this curiosity of wanting to try out other shoes and there are so many cheap and good ones out there. But probably gonna pass on the Dowin. Main aim for 6.18 would be Anta Zone 2 90 or SE if indeed its launching.

Please share review if you get the Antas.

Will consider for 2nd half of the year.

Zone 2 90 price holding quite firm since launch. Hardly any discount even from 3rd party sellers. Cheapest i seen is around sub 400rmb so after GST is $80+.
Must be good sales. Now even have new colourways!

https://mobile.yangkeduo.com/goods.html?ps=z2RDp8fgL2

Maybe some of their customers bought for casual wear. Looks pretty decent.

I also tried the Hurricane Max for casual. Looks blocky and weird haha.

Another PRC video claim the Anta Zone 2 SE gonna cost 2XX rmb only. From looks of it is entry level/budget model so likely not using their top NitroEdge 90 foam.

I posted about the new colorways before. 专供款 just means exclusively for sale online or offline, not necessarily limited to PDD only. Seeing the seller is LiNing official then it's legit.

Oh right, I just saw your post on the black one.

Might go for it and get a pair. Wouldnt mind topping up some for this colourway and without chip removal as well. Just hope its legit lol. I read from elsewhere that 品牌好货 is not 100% authentic too

Did my first run 361 栗蜂SL. I used AI, copilot, to polished up my review. The points I want to make are intact.

361 栗蜂SL – First Run Impressions

My first run in the 361 栗蜂SL left me pleasantly surprised. The shoe feels nimble and easy to run in, with a natural quick-cadence rhythm similar to the Xiaonian. Unlike the Xiaonian, though, the SL doesn’t cause foot fatigue—likely thanks to its less aggressive rocker (though it’s still present).

The upper is impressively breathable. After my run, I rode my Hellobike back with sweat-soaked socks, and I could literally feel the wind cooling my feet—a new sensation I’ve never experienced with other shoes.

Ride & Cushion

  • Rebound: minimal or not noticeable.
  • Firm ride: compression is there, absorbing shock, but maybe I’m too bui bui for it to spring back with energy.
  • No ponding issues: even with saturated socks, the shoe stayed squeak-free.

Fit & Structure

  • True to size (TTS) fit.
  • No hot spots.
  • Solid structure and lockdown.

Verdict

Overall, I enjoyed running in the 361 栗蜂SL more than the Xiaonian. It feels like a reliable option for long runs, and I can see myself using it on race day.

品牌好货 supposedly is a bunch of sellers curated by PDD to ensure authenticity and lower prices. So far bought 2 pair of shoes under 品牌好货 and both should be authentic as weight of the shoes tally with info from online reviews. I never done any returns or refunds on PDD before so i got no idea how simple or robust their refund process is. As i always say, as long its not from official stores then its impossible to 100% guarantee authenticity.

it soften up a fair bit after 30-50k for me. Very similar feel to old lightstrike pro foam from adi
I am very tempted to cut off the heel pull tab.. feels out of place.

Are you still receiving others notifications? If so, you might have accidentally to block the notification on your watch settings?

It happened to me once..

I can't receive all notifications. I checked all setting and nothing blocked ...I feel there is a bug on the watch now

Check Watch Settings
  • Do Not Disturb: Hold the Light button (top-left) and ensure the "Do Not Disturb" (moon icon) is turned OFF.
  • Smart Notifications: Hold the Up/Menu button (middle-left) and select Notifications & Alerts > Smart Notifications. Under General Use and During Activity, set the status to Show All or Calls & Texts.
  • App List: Make sure your desired apps are not disabled on the watch. Go to Notifications & Alerts > Smart Notifications > Apps and verify that the specific app is toggled to Allow. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

2. Verify Garmin Connect App Permissions
  • Open the Garmin Connect app.
  • Tap More (bottom right) > Settings > Phone Permissions.
  • Ensure all relevant permissions (such as SMS, Contacts, and Notification Access) are turned on. [1]

3. Smartphone-Specific Fixes
  • For iPhone: Go to iPhone Settings > Bluetooth > tap the blue "i" icon next to your Forerunner 965. Ensure Share System Notifications is toggled ON.
  • For Android: Ensure that the Garmin Connect app is exempt from battery-saving optimizations, as Android might force-close the background sync process. Go to your phone’s Settings > Apps > Garmin Connect > Battery and select Unrestricted or Optimized depending on your device. [1, 2]

4. The Quick Reset
Sometimes a simple device glitch stops notification streams. Try restarting both devices in this specific order:
  1. Turn off your Garmin 965 by holding the Light button.
  2. Turn off your smartphone’s Bluetooth.
  3. Wait 10 seconds, then turn your phone's Bluetooth back on.
  4. Turn your Garmin 965 back on and wait for it to sync with the Garmin Connect app. [1, 2]
If you continue to have trouble, you can consult the official Garmin Support Center for further troubleshooting steps.
