I tot that face was just regular manufactured social media drama from an influencer at first, but then i realised it was real.
sometimes maybe complete stop cause the legs to stop functioningCome to think of it, both legs cramp up once I stopped to get a refill of water in my flask. Not sure if there’s any correlations
It happened to me at scsm 2025 too. Mine was after half though. Walked the rest of the way. Both legs cramp up until thighI don’t mind hitting a wall and run slow, having both thighs shut down was annoying. Aiyah the results is ridiculous. Pretty disappointing … oh well, next run next month hopefully it doesn’t happen
That is the wall, the shut down, making every step of the run painful. Walking is painless, can even hop which activate the calves, but just landing. Muscle is working. Just can't take the impact anymore.I don’t mind hitting a wall and run slow, having both thighs shut down was annoying. Aiyah the results is ridiculous. Seriously , I think you frequent 35km is the key to resilience, Specificity to train the repetitive impact load.i am no expert on FM.. heck I can count the number of times I did more than 40k on my fingers.
But I do run 30-35k quite often. Below is my observation through the years of sweat and pain.
1) try to shift running gait to use glutes instead of calfs and quads (from previous experience if calfs cramp still can limp and recover but if quads cramp that's it)
2) run relax. In the gait cycle when one leg is engaged, the other leg should be FULLY relaxed.
3) practise "micro" recovery breaks where you slow down pace by 5-10 secs every so often. For a start can try at every km mark when watch buzz. After a while the body will learn how to self adjust.
I like to think strength and speed training helps as well.
I stopped at 16km as could not open the aminosaurus gel given by scsm and asked spectator to help me. Lesson learned bring as many of own gels as possible.sometimes maybe complete stop cause the legs to stop functioning
wah!! 32km every weekend back to back... I sweat just thinking about itSeriously , I think you frequent 35km is the key to resilience, Specificity to train the repetitive impact load.
The only time I was able to run a complete FM was in somewhere the opening of covid, SCSM first race after covid lock down. I was using fitzinger training plan which includes around four weekend of above 32km long run just prior to tapering.
When I switched to TAO training plan for subsequent race, it had a different philosophy, which is to train back to back medium long run, but the weekly cumulative mileage is just as high or even more. But none of the run is more than 25km in one session. This improve my speed, but not my resilience to repetitive shock. As seen, with TAO, my FM timing keeps getting better despite a breakdown after 32km. So this year, I have to figure how to merge TAO and >32km long run for this year without burning out.
mai kei kei.... pretty spectator ya?I stopped at 16km as could not open the aminosaurus gel given by scsm and asked spectator to help me. Lesson learned bring as many of own gels as possible.
I have the redhare 8 pro which is largely similar to the 9 pro. Think of them along the vein of Asics Novablast or Puma Velocity Nitro series which are your no fuss daily trainers. Nothing bad but also nothing that stands out compared to your supertrainers that are all the rage nowadays.
For the price of $30-40, the redhare 8/9 pro offer great value no doubt but something like the Redhare 9U or Miro SL costs just around $20 more and these give you much more bang for your buck.
Totally different type of shoe. Redhare 9U is a high stack super trainer. Plenty of reviews for it online so you can search and have a look.I din know got ultra version. I have the 8 pro and use around 300km and feels good still. Value for money if can use till 500km. How does ultra feels compared to pro?
This 3人团, has anyone succesfully got the deal? I tried 3 times with red hare Ultra, not once successful. A bit tired of using it coz they charge your credit card first and then refund when unsuccessful. Don't know got lost anything to exchange or not.Oh wow.....tempting price

i saw the facial expression in the early morning watching the replay of the race summary on youtube. Quite hilarious expressionbut salute to him to give his all. Subsequent videos showed many teammates actively acknowledging his effort either by pouring water over him, patted on his back etc.
Normally I just join the 团 started by others instead of starting one of my own. Btw just saw the listing I posted is from some 3rd party seller with not many completed transactions so I not sure trustworthy or not. This 3人团, has anyone succesfully got the deal? Brought my 9U for 5x7 mins interval (4:30 pace) yesterday and just finished 11k easy (target around 6:15 pace).am around 73kg, running at paces 7-8min/km, 9U is on the firm side and can't really bounce along. But running at around 6min/km pace or faster, the bounce becomes apparent. Not sure if the shoe needs more mileage to break in.
Does anyone with 9U have similar experience?
