Yes, 2 different things. One is neuro, form, anaerobic/vo2max, power etc blah for the shorter distances involved. Then the other part (even for 5k or 10k) involves more towards aerobic, of coz. Of coz not saying even 2.4/3k no aerobic, just a matter of how much overlapping.
