Saw a few running in MBS mall over the weekend. Nice "straights" over there as well. If you do this before 9am and esp before 8am, generally nobody will disturb you.

I saw a specific runner at 6+am over there.....and when my kid and i returned at 8.50am, she was still there doing loops. The typical longer distance runner with running vest and soft flasks.

Just now ran easy 10km at Bedok Reservoir. Nice weather. No smell.

Hope coming week remains the same.

My kid and I didnt dare to take off our masks for the morning session yesterday. Bo bian la, even if it uncomfortable, it's more prudent to prioritise health over the last bit of fitness, which can easily be chased back later anyway. By the time could confirm cleaner air came is really establishing in the evening/night 7-8pm, a bit too late to do my own LT2 workout.

Even using NEA official past 1hr PM2.5, converted to PSI at 6am it was ranging in the low 170s to 193 for various parts of SG. (i mean, we travel all around SG one). PSI 193 (just shy of band 3 for 1h PM2.5) is literally race cancellation territory for Garmin run as they look at the 1hr, not merely distance reduction.

Thought this morning can do LT2 workout, but seems like creeped up again. Alamak. Not say high type, but it isnt low also. Looking at NEA and airgradient. (airgradient is actually trending upwards in near real-time, high chance might be worse as time goes by, even if i start now by 6am)

No need to do 3 x 12 to 15 mins LT2 already la basket. 1hr PSI (converted) creep to over 115-116 already. Looking at the gradient of the graph on airgraidne, it could gonna be easily PSI 130 -140 by the time i finish and possibly 150-160 if suay.

Gonna be same old zone 2 masked up with KF94.

edit - going in and out of AP room can also smell just a little bit. (there has always haze smell one, if your nose is sensitive enough and you have a frame of reference of good air ie an AP-ed room and you are instantly alternating between both of them)

Now quite clear, airgradient stations yellow colour (not even orange).
Did 1hr+ Z2 and saw the improved visibliity, checked airgradient and saw yellow, did 2 x 10min LT2.

Ok lah, mai hiam liao.

Alas, bad news, my 2 groups decided to cancel everything for the rest of Oct.

Those following a structured plan for BYD is sverely affected by the haze. Because the month of October is our peak or race specific phase. This is where we train with race day specificty, i.e at 30km more run, MP pace training and more endurance speed intervals. All that while maintaining peak weekly mileage. NOw the first two week of October is my lowest mileage is training. I think I have give up on aiming for my goal for this race. Look for another A race next year.
jia you sir, maybe less training u succeed instead? haha. My fastest marathon was in 2022 , with no coach, much worse mileage and lesser fitness

Meanwhile I really cannot dreadmill. Lasted 1 min found it too boring, rather risk it by running outside.

I am off TAO now, coz of the haze. It just cannot adapt properly. It like making me start from ground zero again after I skipped many skipped sessions.
Starting Norwegian singles with filler runs today. Non structured

Still got 7 weeks. I am giving BYD a go with 7 weeks of structured training haha but I shifted my target from 3.10 to 3.20.

Coros and Garmin User, ChatGPT now has plugins for you. Install them and ChatGPT can access data directly from Coros or Garmin, and provide coaching and analysis.

But I am using Montis.icu, coz it pulls data from interval.icu. Interval.icu has more useful metrics that Chatgpt can use. But Montis.icu plugin has to be installed from Montis.icu web page here,
