Public transport? If so, I'd say Tuas side no need.

My only concern there is crowd taking the bus from the malls but now with those pink buses, situation should be better.

At most you meet tour buses at KSAB and Tuas, most when there's say, a religious festival. I've been in some of these too, and a little patience queuing will suffice.

Sunway Big Box premises shouldn't be an issue. But once you step out of the mall area, the usual be alert to your surroundings. Quite a few here have walked to Citrine and makan places without any incident

Sunway Big Box premises shouldn't be an issue. But once you step out of the mall area, the usual be alert to your surroundings. Quite a few here have walked to Citrine and makan places without any incident

As in that area is not as safe as usual KSL, City Square area?

That area within Sunway Big Box (indoors) is alright. Safe on the whole.

But once you step outside, it isn't like outside KSL where you get quite a few other people walking/shopping around. (Unless weekends, maybe.) Go onto Google Map to get the street view and you may be able to get a better idea.

It's not as "people-established" if you like, as the likes of KSL and City Square.

Like that make me hesitant whether want to stay in big box. I may just chill and grab to other malls and back. I wonder whether that will be easily doable since I didn’t stay there before.
