Seems like its not today~ Tmr shall be the day!![]()
Hi, thks for the adviseFor us we choose comfort! The home is for long term (not taking into account if we can afford private properties in future) which means need room for kid(s) as well. Although Punggol is not as convenient as the other areas, better still can aim to own a car, first for convenience, 2nd kids, 3rd wont suffer the increasingly discomfort in taking trains/buses due to overcrowding. If stay too convenient, then no practical reasons to own car right. Waste money only plus nowadays flats already so small due to layout, 3 room is not enough if kids planning is in the picture. And if u see May bto for kallang 3room, a good one is around the price of a punggol 5rm already!
Maybe after 4pm today.HDB can do it as a August launch instead.
Hi, thks for the advisewe already got a small car now. Much much consideration n what you have advise, might as well go for the "size" since travelling shouldn't be much problem.
Have decided to go for punggol 5rm.![]()

Dont worry, punggol is a really nice place. On weekends, many families will have picnics/fly kites/fly aeroplanes/ or just gather and chit chat on the green grass! And punggol is flat, very good for running/cycling. My bf stay in punggol and the mps here are really active, we have soooo many events here. Just a few weeks ago we have punggol street parade! And the people here mostly are young families, so the energy here is quite good! In addition everything is "new" (compared to mature estates) for the surroundings. Air also fresher here haha.
Air is fresher?
Erm you never smell the fumes coming down from the Malaysia oil refineries?

wah, i don't really like that place.Erm nope. We stay at punggol plaza area, opp is hill alreadyalong punggol serangoon reservoir at night time many people will stroll along there, appreciate nature and chit chat! Sometimes at late night many stars in the sky too we lie down on the benches and see stars! At least thats what we do haha
I was also choosing between Punggol and BM (4room). BM is central and near SO's parents but I kinda like the bit about Punggol being a newer estate with young families. Only worried about the travel time cos I've never been to Punggol in my life and it feels far.
Hmm punggol area so good meh?? whole world is moving there....the "empty" "open" spaces will also not be there for long mah...
Punggol is affordable now. but it is too early to judge for July's BTO. Got a feeling it will be priced slightly higher than the ones before.
Along with Punggol, CCK also consider quite affordable base on the previous launch.
Price is one thing, but the area good meh??
From my POV, location is bad but for the prices now no complaints! But it seems like taking the north east line can bring u to plaza sing in 20ish minutes.
If compare KW 4 Room and Punggol 5 room, PG can be cheaper base on some of the launch man. like someone mentioned staying at PG and u can buy one small family car to make up for the inconvenience as well.
but for me who is also waiting for this BTO and also missed out on several BTOs, I still find my decision is very difficult to finalise.
So far I went for 2 ballotings, Nov'11-Hougang but my number was bad, and also Geylang Macpherson March'12- Number was about 1.2 times, in the end didnt go for it as there were left with the low floors.
So hopefully this July12 BTO, the prices will be good and we can compare with BM for consideration!
Add On:
Personally i went to Punggol last month to check around, indeed in future it will be very crowded considering the amount of housing at the area be it EC, Private Condos, HDBs. So it is very crucial to purchase something near the main PG MRT, cant imagine next time staying far from PG Mrt, the LRT and feeder buses will be crazy once PG is 3/4 developed![]()
