Juz to take note that if you did not turn up for ur appointment, you are consider as reject for 1 time. So the next queue number you have, you must definitely turn up or you will be regard as reject the 2nd time and will be downgraded to 2nd timer status for 1 year.

Juz to double confirm, if there is no more ethnic quota left. I do not have to go for my appt, right?
This is not considered a rejection, right?

2nd case, if miracle happens and there is only a few units left, i choose not to turn up for the appt, will this be considered a rejection?

1st case, yes its not a rejection.

2nd case, that is considered a rejection because there are still avaliable units to choose from.

Okok.. Thank you very much.

Nowadays it's really difficult to get a good q number even though being a first-timer, thus I do not want to lose our first-timer status so easily.

I agree with that... but then again.. if u are left with low level units, facing MSCP units.. would u buy it?
i wunt buy for the sake of buying ba.. even if it means losing my first-timer status... thats my own opinion. =)

I also gotten a very high q number for May BTO, was given an appt date in Oct. But I dun wan waste time waiting for a miracle to happen.
Therefore I will also go ahead to apply for Jul BTO.

Just got my appt date. Might as well apply for July!

Any idea if the launch is next week or the week after?

I have tot of wat u mention.

I applied KW in May BTO, becos of the current dropout rate I even think tat we might have a slight little chance to select (juz hoping for a miracle to happen :D), but another thought gg through my mind was, do I really want to pay $500K++ for a low level unit with very bad facing?
I guess probably not.. I might also choose to give up.

Anyway who doesn't want to get a fantastic q number and get to choose ur desired unit? But not everyone gets this kind of luck.. So probably ppl will juz make do wif wat they are left with.

hello there!

Where can you find out the drop out rate? My q number for KW is more than 150% of the total available.

Thanks.

The drop out rate is based on Today's Queue Number minus the total units taken, den u get a rough percentage.

U can get the today's q number info from MyHDB.
My HDBPage >
My Flat >
Application Status - New Flat >
Click on ur Ref No.

It will be shown as follows.
Last Queue Number invited for selection of a 4-Room flat in Kallang / Whampoa under the May 2012 BTO exercise as at 20 Jul 2012 : 00070

For example as of today's date.
Total Units available: 888
Units still available for selection: 840
Units taken: 888 - 840 = 48
No. of q drop out: 22
Queue number as of today: 70
Drop out rate: 22/70 x 100 = 31.4%

Btw, u may wish to check out HWZ May 2012 BTO forum.
There might be more helpful information available.
Hope this helps :)

Currently I'm single and stay with my parents. If I want to buy a new BTO flat, can I apply together with either one of my parents? Do they need to sell the house 1st in order to apply for this new flat?
