Just curious who will be buying this chip ?
Heading towards x399 instead. And im pretty confident that their threadrippers wouldnt cost as high as intels i9 7900x 10c20t at usd999.
Just buy amd if you're building a gaming PC.
Consider Intel for production work. Certain features on the chip or motherboard are Intel exclusives.
My friend was telling me recently wake on LAN didn't work well on r7.

Wake on lan is unique to the LAN chip, if it uses Intel LAN as per the others, then yes.
Again, WOL is the LAN chip.

Intel has what kind of exclusive features? Haven't heard of that to be honest.
That cannot be true!7900X...great overclocker but still using TIM between IHS and heatspreader...super high temps..WTF Intel. That alone is reason enough to buy AMD for many

For starters, rst, thunderbolt 3, avx implementation, integrated GPUs.

oh, AVX 512. whoopsFirst, y-cruncher is a program that solves digits of pi, as well as some other mathematical constants. It's one of the few applications that can really stress a processor's AVX instruction set. Intel created AVX, and its CPUs implement additional 512-bit AVX calculations that give it an advantage. In this particular case, the 6900K beats the 1800X by 50 percent. But while that might look horrible, there aren't a lot of applications, particularly consumer applications, that leverage AVX in this fashion, and Ryzen still represents a dramatic improvement in AVX workloads compared to poor FX-8370—the 1800X is 150 percent faster than the 8370.
