Kaplan Part-Time Degree course

kaplan is , of course, rather well known in singapore.. for their ACCA courses of course..
but yes , the degree at the end of the day is awarded by the respective unis themselves.... soo...... the reputation of the unis are more important

So seeing that this FYIT is from Edge Hill University in UK, it is ranked 82th based on

Can one consider this to be reputable enough? Rather how should one deems if it is repubtable or not?

For the awarding university, take reference from global ranking charts, QS Top Universities and Times Higher Education world ranking.

For the private institute providing the teaching, make sure the institute is EduTrust accredited.

lol edge hill university by itself is a reputable university..
and on their website , they have mention FYIT before .. FYIT students going over to their UK campus to graduate

You can still consider. Afterall Edge Hill is still an accredited uk university, it is just not within global charts top 200.

If you apply through FYIT, as they are not edutrust accredited, so always be on the alert if you find their management practice and educational services questionable.

Hey fplolz, thanks for the info. Yeah, I did chance upon the article about Singaporeans going over there for the graduation etc.

Did saw that Edge Hill is reputable, rather within the top 100 within UK, and like what intime has mentioned, it is just not in the global charts and hence, I am not sure if I should put in FYIT into my list or not...

Thanks intime, for the info on the edutrust. That is also one pointer that I am keeping a lookout for..
And it may be again another Kaplan vs. FYIT dilemma, just like what TS may be facing.. Just saying (same goes for me too :x)

just remember , for UK and Australia's degrees , it's best to have honours included. While for US degrees, there are no honours.. because their.. system... already includes it.

kaplan's murdoch degrees have no honours IIRC

IT and computer science degree

you might wish to consider informatics for IT / computer science degree since this is their forte, Kaplan is more for business and ACCA certification courses.

anyway, a few years back I did went to ntu for engineering related course as a direct entry student.

However, as I am unable to cope with the curriculum and schedule, long story shot, I dropped out within a year and you can say I have develop a "fear".

And now, as I am in mid-20s, I had wanna get a degree in the shortest possible time

i would suggest u try unisim , not costly for 3 yrs. it helps you with your foundation as you progress. Moreover some government sector do accept unisim grads. For IT, you have the option to choose a basic or degree with honors(SAP). From what i know basic degree also allows you to take certification like ITIL and Oracle which are very handy if you are going into this field. Needless to say SAP consultant or specialist earn big bucks now.

SAP consultant a lot of OT without OT paid. Some even required SAP consultant to bring sale in.

Hi there, in the end, I opted to enroll in Ngee Ann Adelaide after much thinking...

Despite I have never go for a preview session for Edge Hill, between Kaplan and this NAA session that I have went to, I feel that NAA is more 'credible'
