If VFM is the key, there are many choices.
And yes, with a built in DAC and limited connectivity, that can be an issue when next DACs emerge.
But this is like a Mac, style, convenience etc.
If I wanted the ultimate in sound and so forth, there are many other options, like bringing over my Musical Fidelity A 5.5 with a built in USB DAC, add my Usher speakers and I don't even need to buy this.
But having a 15kg stereo amp on my desktop isn't going to be fun. For 1.2k, it's a nice option.
Dynaudio speakers are above 1.5k, and no DAC, and no auto power on and off.
So I might as well stick to my current options, including keeping my Denon MCD 38 and just using the headphone output...
