Masks were not the primary factor in protecting healthcare workers at a public hospital that conducted a study prior to the availability of the vaccine. Instead, they implemented a highly effective and logically sound strategy that did not rely on medications. I adopted a similar approach to protect my own health, and as a result, I have not contracted COVID or the flu since before the pandemic, despite not wearing a mask.

Hmm ... I noticed that when there is an uptick in respiratory conditions, more healthcare workers at the hospital wear masks. At least that is the case at the hospital I visit.

When COVID-19 first emerged, many public hospitals struggled with limited mask supplies for healthcare workers and an overwhelming number of patients they hadn't anticipated. As for me, I don't wear masks and I haven't received the vaccine. Over the years, my personal experience has led me to conclude that these measures do not significantly impact the overall outcomes compared to the findings of the study that genuinely contribute to saving the lives of healthcare workers.
