But the watch itself cannot be used for overseas roaming FYI.

unlike my another kid watch 'MyFirst', it can be use overseas but the watch cost higher and must use their telco $10 monthly unlimited though.

Update here again when the simba simcard arrive and i test for few days first.

FYI, one bro mentioned can use grandparent name to apply for simba, $5 monthly hahahaha!

Roaming is possible on XIaomi Kids Smart Watch, if the SIM card used is bundled with roaming.

And yes, I shared that if able to obtain SIMBA Senior, that's even better since it brings the cost down.

Anyone facing sudden battery drain? It was 80% then suddenly turn to 0%. The watch is only a few months old. Not sure if it's caused by the recent firmware update.

Might want to check in with Xiaomi Service Centre if its still in warranty.
Faced issues around 6 months in, and got replaced with a new watch since no repairs for such devices (as allegedely claimed by XM SC staff).

Yes, there's only 1 Xiaomi service centre, which moved from Funan to Lavender.
Thanks. The funan branch is still reflecting on their website though.

What did you furnish when you sent it in for repair? I bought it online from their official store in Shopee.

Yes, weird that its still not updated since the SC has moved for a while since last year.

If you still have the official XM receipt/photo, it will work.
Otherwise, if from official store, provide that and should work too.

Thanks for the heads up. I will head over there soon.

Watch lost 80% of charge overnight. It wasn't even on. :o

Yes, no ability to configure network setting.

I was told that only certain telcos work with this watch.
I got this from SIMBA when they had a promo for like $69 (IIRC), and it works when I am overseas.
Still able to view location and receive SMS. Did not try native calls though, but of course video calls works since data and location works.
So only know SIMBA works on this watch.

Can this XM watch have parental control via iphone or other android manufacturers other than XM ?

My wife uses iphone but I use XM.

Xiaomi Watch App is available on IOS, my family uses XM too and working fine on their devices.
Don't really face any issue on my IOS device though, seems more of network issue on the watch instead.

Oh yes, to add not much parental features but able to restrict call & msg list.
Works as intended, tracking is sufficient for my needs.
Not expecting much for something at this price range, but as always hope XM comes up with more bang for bucks products.
