Don't make me tempted! I think I'll be shipping the sleep/wake cover from Indigo, provided I can find a way to ship from Canada to SG cheap.. Bought a B5 plastic pouch from Daiso to keep my Kobo in when it arrives.

Any other bros here wanna ship covers/cases from Indigo together? I think it's around 20-30 dollars with an agent.

I managed to read chinese in my Kobo Mini!

Just need to create a "fonts" folder inside the kobo root directory and copy in the chinese files from windows fonts folder and it works!

I think you can add extra fonts this way

Nope. The 4 popular freight forwarders are vPost, myUS and Comgateway and Borderlinx. None of them ship accept shipments from Canada lol.. Indigo.ca does send covers to US, but just shipping from Ca to US is already 10+SGD. Not worth it..

Those even interested to get smaller e-ink ereader, consider the Trekstor Pryus mini. 4.3" screen. It's new and not popular though, can't find any online reviews yet.

Just got my white Kobo Mini. When people said it was small, I was like, how small can it get!

And when I opened it up, it scared me, shocked me. It's the smallest, cutest thing I've ever owned!

Gonna enjoy it now

I'm thinking of getting a Kobo eReader since I find the screen on my phone way too small. But I'm having issues deciding between Kobo Mini and Kobo Touch.

I don't really know much about eReaders, so any guidance is appreciated.

Mini if you want portability & cuteness, Touch if you want a slightly bigger eReader with a physical button & MicroSD expandibility.

Held back when Touch was released as there were many problems plaguing the Touchs, and sending it to and fro between SG & US for replacement is troublesome, so went for the Mini.

& with ~1.2GB internal storage (correct me if I'm wrong), can hold 1k+ books. I have trouble even reading my 200, why would you have more than 1k books in an eReader at one time?

Mini is also lighter, 136g vs Touch's 185g.
Mini offers changable back covers, = customizability, & sleep/wake functionality (something like iPad).
However, Touch uses a slightly newer eInk tech, Pearl, compared to Mini's Vizplex. Pearl offers better contrast between the background & text.
Mini offers only 7 font styles, while Touch offers 11.
Having owned a Kindle, Nook & Kobo, I find no difference in the different generations of eInk tbh.


Take both of your hands, form L's with your thumb and index finger, then inverse one so they form a rectangle, that's about the size of the Mini's screen

Thank you so much for the detailed review! Just wondering, do you know if the issues surrounding Touch has been resolved? I might go for that because of the bigger screen.
