I know, I have walked there a couple of times haha. I just find all the underground tunnels and escalators quite irritating. Maybe it's just me, maybe it's because I walked the longer distance routes.

Ssikkek is about the best budget korean bbq around. They have branches in Tampines Mall, Chinatown, Novena Villa (dunno still around), Bas Brasah and Tanjong Pagar.

I also like Corner Place @ Marina Sq and Blue Garden @ Link hotel.

went to the Tamp1 branch in late Dec. being in a mall, the ventilation is pretty gd, but the lunch selection is not a lot. At $16 for buffet lunch, I wld say it's quite decent and the sitting is not too bad.

if i am not wrong, novena outlet being the oldest one in operation, is still using the old grill with alum foil on top. 10penis is airconditioned and using new smokeless grill. I tried 3 diff ssk outlets b4(all lunch) and notice that the meat cuts on offer vary slightly from outlet to outlet. For me, chinatown outlet most value for money since that outlet includes free flow of softdrinks for $16nett.

yeap, tamp1 is smokeless grill and only 1 bottle of mineral water per pax. No freeflow soft drinks.
