hi, would like to know how to do i redeem the miles if I want to travel via business class.

right now all my miles is in credit card - did not transfer into SQ miles yet ( coz CC do not have expiry dates for miles while if in SQ kris miles will have )

so can i just book in SIA website after I have the dates in mind, transfer my miles to SIA miles and just use it like that? or do they have limitation for miles redemption for every month/day/seats.

You transfer the miles to your KF before you can book/redeem anything.

Yes there's quota base on per flight and it's 1st come 1st serve.

Check the availability before u transfer but transfer might not be immediate.

It can be very difficult to get the cheaper Saver seats.

infant tickets cost 10% of adult full fare. infant doesn't occupy a seat, only a bassinet.

For award flights u are supposed to redeem
first then call in customer support to tell them u need to add in infant and they will quote u a price which is usually 10% of the prevailing fare. So better check the rough fare price first to see reasonable to u or not. The infant will be having a bassinet but during take off and landing u must carry the baby with a special seat belt.

You are aware that one way fares are not cheap if you are buying it on a full-fledge airline. The one way fares are not half of an economy fare.

Yes, you have to book the 2 sectors separately.

Hi, I understand there's this Saver & Advantage options, I realise some time slots show Saver "waitlist", & other time slot Saver "w/o the waitlist". So does it mean if I choose the Saver "w/o the waitlist" slot, I'm guarantee to a seat? Kind of confuse to me

riding on this thread.

i intend to use my miles to book 2 tickets for business class to korea to experience it one way, so i will only able to book the return by economy separately right.

i guess probably after taxes, both legs will also be the same as if i booked economy return tickets right?

Don't understand your question.

Both legs meaning to and fro. Isn't a 'to and fro' a return? So it's the same, isn't it?

So you are getting Singapore to Incheon using mileages + taxes and a paying ticket economy, Incheon to Singapore. How will the fare of a return Singapore to Incheon to Singapore on economy be the same as a Singapore - Incheon on redemption + economy Incheon to Singapore fee-paying?

Fares differ by seasons and by airlines, budget or full-fledge.

A smarter way to do it, is to take Singapore to Incheon on a budget carrier since you shouldn't be bringing much luggage on this sector. Return take business class so that you can enjoy the luggage allowance on business class after doing your shopping in South Korea.

Is definitely still slightly cheaper then you purchase economy round trip since you are only paying tax for your departure flight to korea if you use your miles. But if only can select 1 way, I will recommend you to fly back by business class instead so you have more luggage allowance for checking in.

ya. i intend to redeem miles for 1 leg of the trip to Korea. and purchase the other leg on economy. so after checking , one way to korea is around $500 plus and return economy is around $700 plus. what i mean i after adding taxes if i redeem one way on business plus the return economy, the total cost might be close to $700 too.

yeah, i know the smarter way is definitely taking business class back making full use of the baggage, just that returning back to Singapore the mood slightly different ma.. lol
