I have been saying that I want to go to the KSL pasar malam for many years and I finally went yesterday.

The pasar malam is big. 1long row along the road. I didn't manage to cover all but left after 10 mins because it was late at 8.50pm and I have not much RM left. Things are quite cheap with children pyjamas of RM12 and adult bermudas at RM25 and many others. Next time I will go again but stay overnite. Actually it is very tiring to spend JB the whole day if you are not driving, I was so tired yesterday.

By the way, I have tried the Soon Soon BaKuTeh. I find normal leh. The soup is more like pork boiled in soya sauce. It is abit salty for me. I doubt I will eat it again.

Heard that the wanton noodles nearby is nice. I cannot find it yesterday. I'll try it next time.

If you want to visit the pasar malam to the fullest, I'd recommend staying the Monday night, check-out Tuesday. :)

When facing Soon Soon BKT, just turn left and walk along the shophouses till you reach a T-junction of Jalan Serigala and Jalan Harimau. Along that row of shophouses across Jalan Harimau (far left you'll see a hawker center which comes alive from about 5pm), you'll see the coffeeshop with this "best chwee kueh in JB", then others like Pontian wanton noodles (fried wanton type and their desserts are quite decent), then an Indian makan place where I always have roti canai (pratha) breakfast each time I stay over, and further on you'll see Yit Foh the once-popular wanton noodles place. Onwards from there will see 7-Eleven, etc, until you hit another junction which is opposite Holiday Plaza Mall.

BKT, chwee kueh, roti canai, wanton noodles, etc

Hope your next visit will be more fulfilling. :D

There's another hawker center at the other end of the pasar malam - Cedar Point Food Center - which is behind Hotel Grand Paragon. :)

I don't like the SS BKT. It has so many spare parts/organs smell in the soup and also very salty.

Anyone knows if the lok lok stall outside KSL is still there? What time does it closes?

Lok lok van across the road from the KFC exit? Has seen it after 9pm.

In the very late night, has seen it further up the road outside the coffeeshop at the t-junction.

I only been to jb once during sch days
At jur east mrt see long q of ppl n they seem to be taking some Msia bus to jb? Got smiley face logo one
How much r those ? What abt the bus 171 or something that sbs drives directly into jb? So once inside jb is alight chop passports n how? Can get back to bus n proceed to where? Thinking of going to a safer, bigger malls similar to SG (like pavilion in kl) to shop n eat in a safer manner ... Half way have to take taxi? Thanks.

Causeway Link Singapore Bus Services
Causeway Link JB Shopping Bus Services

The queue you see at Jurong East Interchange is the bus that goes to JB via the 2nd (Tuas) Link. You can browse through the 2 links given above to see the various bus services, malls, etc.

I'd suggest you start with the easiest, which is visit City Square and Komtar JBCC first, 2 malls within walking distance of JB CIQ building, very popular with visitors from SG.
- From Kranji MRT, you can take either 170 or CW1.

Don like their services ,give us bad face when we wanted to top up our soup , they need to train their staff.

Service was ok, maybe because I did not top up soup? Won't want to as I can't stand the organs smell in the soup. Won't try again.

I went in last Saturday, saw zero durians. It was raining heavily in the afternoon.

Bought samsung chargers in Holiday Plaza ground floor near KFC entrance, very cheap RM15 & RM20 each.
