Laptop recommendation

[silverstone]

Hello everybody, my desktop is dead, so im thinking of getting a laptop temporarily for work, videos/web surfing etc...

did a quick search, and i found HP omen series kinda attractive, looks nice, design is sleek.

aftershock mx15 series is also another option, quite sleek too...

havent really decide on my budget yet, maybe 1k - 1.5k?

any suggestion/ideas are welcome, am keeping my options open, if need be, i can probably up my budget.

thanks everyone!

Lenovo Y520????

hello, just to check, its the lenovo legion Y520 right? and not yoga Y520?

if so, the specs are quite attractive. only 1.3k on lenovo website, and still can apply e-coupon too...

HP is ok. I am using HP now.

[silverstone]

u are using the omen series too? how is it?

Price to specs wise, I think Omen is severely lacking. Would recommend Lenovo Legion Y520 or Y720 or ASUS FX533VD or FX502VM.

[silverstone]

i see, what are the stuff lacking that isnt worth the price?

yes Legion series Y520.
