Depends on your budget & usage? All the above laptop came with inferior screen of 45% NTSC color coverage.

The specs from Asus america listed it as 45% NTSC but on a value for money recommendation will suggest the Lenovo Ideapad due to it came with 3 Years Onsite Warranty vs Asus 2 years, it also has a better discrete graphic MX450(Performance equivalent to GTX 1650 mobile). But do note that the ideapad m2 nvme ssd it came with is of uncommon length(2242 vs the commonly found 2280) and the ram is soldered(Non user replaceable).

No worries about drive support. psref also states under Drive Support: Up to 2 drives, 1x 2.5" HDD + 1x M.2 2242 SSD or 1x 2.5" HDD + 1x M.2 2280 SSD

Guess it means that the 2242 and 2280 slot are the same. It's just that Lenovo's bundling the 2242 drives for some reason.

I shared somewhere else that the 2242 drive I got with my T14s was a Kioxia, and it's performance is terrible. I would plan to swap it out with either a WD SN750 or a Samsung 970, the WD being more efficient in terms of power and thus leading to longer battery life. It's also a M keyed (typically) NVMe, so it won't work in the 2242 slots that require B or B+M Key NVMe, which kind of reduces its resale value a lot. It's best to just buy an enclosure and use it as a nice sized external HDD.

I'm not very impressed with Asus's support either, particularly after asking around friends and reading threads here. There's also a recent thread where a user shared a horrible experience with the service centre, including sharing how seemingly arrogant they were about their repair/refund policy in spite of the new laptop spending 2+ months in the service centre with no resolution.

Warranty is useless if the service centre is bad. Unfortunately, the only standard I have to go by is Apple's at the Genius bar, so everything else falls far short. But the reports of the service level at Asus and Xiaomi are atrocious.

Wah, that Kioxia is just bad. I don't know what Lenovo was thinking. Worse that it's not a B+M drive so we cannot redeploy it into the WWAN slot in the Thinkpads. However, I found a $20 Orico NVMe enclosure on Shopee so it works well as an external enclosure (since it's limited to 1Gbps r/w) that is faster than most thumb drives out there..

I saw reviews about that P31 Gold drive too. It's not available locally so I recommended easier-to-get drives. Between the 970 Plus (which I have) and the WD Black, the performance difference is slight, but the battery life difference is noticeable.

most likely will go for the ideapad 5 when the time comes, was only puzzled hachi offering more ram and a diff tier processor as compared to lenovo web for the same model
