Hi guys,

Did a pre lasik assessment at EEC. Was informed that my cornea thickness was at borderline. I’m with high myopia (775) for both eyes. Dr lim first recommendation was ICL as his preferred choice, followed by TransPRK with KXL. I’m more incline towards TransPRK, however it will leave me with around 307 to 318 micron (i think based on removing 24 micron per diopter) for my cornea thickness, which was advised that there is left with no thickness for improvement and a slight risk of cornea ectasia. I’m worried of cornea ectasia complication will lead to many other thing, or worse case blind and require cornea transplant.

Anyone with also with thin cornea but still doing fine with no issue? Read up saying chance of cornea ectasia happening is very rare, but if it happens, it will be a nightmare. In a dilemma should i proceed witht the surgery in a few days time or continue wearing contact lens/ spec.
Hi,

i was looking through all the post by you guys and this strike me as my myopia is ard 750 too. And "old flower" kicking in, j m wondering what decision you did back then and how is the recovery. I understand fm my internet search that the higher the myopia, for PRK, the worse recovery is.

Will you be able to share?
If others have experience where they successfully done lasik or PRK or SMILE with high myopia , please share with me. TIA

The discount is about $200 only depending on the doctor. Choose the doctor that you are most comfortable with.

I just did mine last week at the Lasik Surgery Clinic as well.

My degree is rather high, 700+ plus another like 175 astig. So I took the intralase wavefront.

Did on day 1. Day 2 evening can drive for follow up. Day 3 can go back to work. Eye sight was close to 6/6 on the second day and for my degree, considered very good.

No regrets. Thos who wear high power specs, you will realise you tend to get headaches. No more. Finally I can get through the day w/o headaches. You sleep better, think better and function better. And because there is less strain on your eyes, looking at computer screens no longer hurts.

Worth every cent.
How much

If anyone needs a code for Dr Lynn Yeo for ICL please PM me, if you post here I won't know if you have found it or not as I don't check this often.

If I'm not wrong, you don't have to find a referral by Dr Yeo to get the discount, you just need ANY referral from EEC.

Hey all, looking into getting Lasik soon and have some friends who did at LSC and Clearvision, but saw alot of good customer experience with SNEC! Any recommendations or can share why more people go private instead of SNEC?

Where u go?
Dr Natasha Lim

Actually i want to give it a shot since doctor say can still do one. But after getting prepped, nurse came and tell me gas is low and not safe to proceed so have to reschedule.

Now i have thought over this, i decided not to go for lasik. Although doctor has experience and i think she say ok should be fine, but i keep wondering whether my risk will be higher since even machine cannot recognise.

Decided not to take the risk since no one can predict how it turn out and wearing specs wont die. Going to make new specs next.

Well they didnt really elaborate. But googling seems to suggest its the gas for the lasers. Who knows. When they say gas is low and not safe to proceed, i wont be taking the risk anyway.

Anyway, i guess specs for me for a few more years. Then maybe go for scan again see whether better.
