Does anyone know for transprk, how long does it take for us to have perfect eyesight? I am going almost 3 weeks post surgery but still quite worried that my vision is under correct cause I did my lasik 3.5mths after my evaluation.

i did transprk too! mine took around 3 months to have "perfect" eyesight. but by the first month, vision was around 90% there already. the last 10% takes a bit longer to clear up. but that was fine with me because i could do most things with no issue already.

and i remember the optometrists took all the same eye tests again on surgery day anyway, to get the most updated measurements. so i wouldn't worry about under correction at this point!

patience is key! and also lubricating your eyes regularly :)

ECC has so many location, which one you all do your lasik at ?
  1. Mt Alvernia
  2. Mt Elizabeth Orchard
  3. Parkway East
  4. Mt Elizabeth Novena
  5. Westgate
  6. Royal Square at Novena
  7. King Albert Park
  8. StarMed Specialist Centre

iirc only certain branches got the machines to do surgery.
I went their main branch which is KAP :)

Thank you for your kind sharing! Apologies I missed your reply. I

Doctor say I have 6/6 vision now, but I'm just wondering if our vision can go better than 6/6 after lasik?

No worries!! I think it's definitely possible that vision can get better than 6/6. But I guess 6/6 is what the doctors are aiming for at the very least. I'm not sure what my visual acuity is but at least its functional and I don't have to depend on specs for now! So very happy already.

But even though my vision is great, I do have some extra glare at night especially if my eyes are dry (some "starburst" effects when I look at street lights for example), but it's seemed to have gotten better (or maybe I've just gotten used to it over the years lol).

I am having exactly the same issues!! Just made hardwarezone acct for the first time so that i can write abt my ICL experience. (also having trouble getting to see dr theng again post op. it is like impossible -_-)

one eye turned out fine, the other eye everyday got eyeache, now also starting to see FREAKING FLOATERS. (cue me doomscrolling what floaters in my vision might mean)... my night vision in general seems affected (like not enough light getting in), halos make me scared to drive at night/ got white vignette vision at night, and i have trouble holding focus on things. makes me feel like i'm not totally present.

should i also add: i ended up getting myopia again in 1 eye! who knew such a thing was possible! so now my degree without the lenses are worsened!

btw HALO VISION also seems guaranteed because of the hole in the middle of the lens. this was totally downplayed as a potential side effect during the initial consultation with the advisor. it has lessened, but they are still around. Imagine watching tv / doing makeup with two large faint light circles (venn diagram) in your vision.

I am now thinking of doing surgery to get these horrible things out, but i'm scared it will do more damage. :( Can't believe i wasted money to introduce this new problem into my life.
what was your prescription before surgery? ICL is more invasive than laser vision correction yet it tends to be marketed as being as safe as other less invasive methods. i don't think ICL is a case of "you get what you pay for" because it's so much more expensive but doesn't guarantee better results than with laser vision correction. but i do understand that it's a great option for people who have very thin corneas and high myopia.

what has eec said about your concerns? they also market ICL as reversible, without adding that it's a whole other surgery yet again just to remove the lens - that comes with all the risks involved with surgeries. it's not just something you can easily remove and put back in again like actual contact lenses.

when did you do your surgery? hopefully it will get better over time!

my right eye deteriorated to 75 degree after LASIK surgery at snec one year ago, without my left eye, I can't see at the whiteboard
at what distance ?
I finally seen the doc for a follow up, have to blow away 200 dollar. He just say having a degree on the right side is a good thing. Otherwise, your risk of presyobia at age 40 is much higher. No need to relasik.

If anyone needs a code for Dr Lynn Yeo for ICL please PM me, if you post here I won't know if you have found it or not as I don't check this often.

If I'm not wrong, you don't have to find a referral by Dr Yeo to get the discount, you just need ANY referral from EEC.
Hello, able to PM me the code for Dr Lynn yeo? Thanks!
