Did it this year, just crossed the 3 month mark.

Good news is overall i have gotten used to the lenses. Halos are still there for sure in my everyday life. i do not believe they will ever go away but i definitely am less bothered now bc I had no choice but to get used to them. overall time needed to get used to everything is 1.5 months. i think if you intend to take 5 days MC to do this, you will not give your eyes sufficient recovery time.

The eye ache lessened now after a few rounds of those eyedrops they use to dilate ur eyes for checkups, which they did after my incessant grumbling. i think it was some nerve damage that was able to relax from the eye drops. But the floater problem remains. I'm worried about that, but nothing i can do about it now without going thru another surgery. So I still try to wear sunglasses whenever i am out, just as a precaution to prevent my retina from deteriorating further. My good eye feels alright in the sun, but the problem eye still feels sensitive.

So generally things have gotten better, but not sure if i would recommend ICL to anyone or how things will go in the long run. That said, I wouldn't NOT recommend it either, because it has allowed me to experience a glasses-free life.

But go into it with your eyes WIDEEEE open on the side effects.

UPDATE after 1.5 years: Intermittent eye aches all disappeared after 6 months. It seems that everything just decided to heal one day, and all got better. Floater problem now ok, they are very faint and no longer a bother. I still see the faint halos when i look at lights, but I'm used to them now. All in all i think i got a good result, and i think it really does take about a year for things to stabilise. i also try to take care of my eyes and never rub/ press on them anymore.

Hello All, after reading through many pages on this thread, together with some friends recommendation, I have decided to give EEC a try. Does anyone have any referral code for Dr Lynn?

I have a few questions for people who did anything other than ICL. My life revolves very heavily around using computer and phone. Maybe above 16hrs a day. Anyone with this kind of lifestyle? Did your eyesight to deteriorate?

If I were to opt for smile or transprk, supposedly have lower risk of dry eyes, will I still need to carry around eye drops for the rest of my life?

How much is ICL per eye ? What the brand of lens did you get?

Would like to share my experience of doing ICL at Dr Natasha Lim back in Q3 22 for some reference - since Google reviews only shows very positive and highly successful cases.

I still have residual astigmatism and myopia, esp on my left eye which didn't recover as well and quick as my right eye. Thus, vision is still not as crystal clear as the expected 20/20. My left eye still regularly feel strained and I have to manage it with hydrating eye drops and daily consumption of eye supplement.

My degree prior to the procedure had been very stable for over 15 years and wearing glasses probably spoilt my expectations for 20/20 vision as my vision after ICL is rather middling. I had to resort to getting glasses back at Owndays to reduce strain post-procedure, and I can barely make out text 100m away on digital boards. It was rather demoralising and I definitely had lots of regrets doing this procedure then.

During my follow-ups, the Dr just said to monitor and apply eyedrops...Didn't help that appointments is often delayed by 1-2 hours even when you arrive on time for a 5 min face time with the Dr.

Overall, I would likely choose to do my ICL elsewhere for a better in-clinic and post-procedure care. Location is definitely convenient for me, which was a huge factor for my decision then, but in hindsight - this criteria shouldn't have been placed so high up my decision priority matrix for an eye procedure.

That being said, my brain has probably adapted to my current vision - it's ok for colours to not be as HD as it should be it - but at a 8.5k SGD (in 2022) cost....maybe I should have take the plunge and do it overseas instead :ROFLMAO:
