Lasik eye Surgery

Ive have some question regarding the above surgery, i heard from some people that Lasik causes complications as you age? Is that true? Plus, if i were to go for the surgery, does that mean i can watch TV very close, read book in the dark all these doesn affect my vision any more?

Haha i also sleep lesser as my vision improves.

My left eye was better than my right eye in the first 2 weeks cos it experienced less starburst/halo as compared to the right. But now my right eye is sharper than my left eye.
Last week's review shows the reading are R:0 degree, L:25 degree. Doc said my eyes are still healing, so the left eye will also get to 0 degree eventually.

My vision was very blur during the 1st week, and only started to clear up from the 2nd week. So I cant really tell if there is any difference after my lens are removed. Anyway there is also no pain when the lens are removed, cos by then the epithelium already healed.

Just removed my lenses!!! Haha yeah not pain but feels like eyelash or sand inside once removed. But this goes off after a few minutes haha.

Going to start FML this Sat!!! Now my vision is consider clear but misty like. U know the photo effect kind like magical hahahaha. gosh faster heal please eyes eyes =D

i am on the fence if i should do lasik . As one doctor says that my eyes are fine , but another doctor thinks that my eyes are dry and lasik will worsen the condition.

I have not been wearing contact lenses for a year. I am always wearing specs now , but my eyes still feel dry and there are visible red veins throughout the day.

Anyone else with similar dry eyes problem ? with visible red veins.

I only get this kind of vision in my 3rd week of recovery.
I used up FML last week (no more FML liao haha) and started on Lotemax. Hope no more steroid eye drop after this.

It's the dryness that's affecting me . Even with specs on my eyes feel dry and I don't produce any tears even if I blink a lot .
I read that you email the SNEC doctor. How did you get their email? I called the clinic and they do not release the doctor email

My eyes are dry when i am in aircon environment, but feels ok when i am outside. The red veins only appear when lack of sleep and experiencing dry eyes at the same time.

Oh I went for a visit, then the doctor gave me his namecard with his email on it. I think it helps them to answer your question better if you have been checked by them. Since everyone eyes are different.

My diet is mainly fish, vege and fruits, with pork or chicken occasionally.
I start to take fish oil supplement from 2nd week cos my vision were still very blur. After taking, my vision started to improve, but im not sure if the fish oil helps, or just placebo effect haha.

Hello, I did mine on 3 May 2016.

First Week:
Blur vision, glaring at sunlighted objects (like sunlight shined on those living rooms items, its quite glaring) that I wore sunglasses to help. The blur is like you see double objects, but it isnt like your short sightedness whereby it will be clear once u move it near u. It will still be blur.

Second Week:
Removed contact lens on Day 8 and returned to work on Day 9, due to doctor's leave. Consistent blur until today (end of Third Week). Changed to using FML at the end of week 2. With eyedrop, it will help me to see clear for a second only, then it goes back to blur. But functional, not too tiring to do computer work either. Noticed sometimes one eye clear one eye blur and during night time the vision is better. Glaring is ok too, like the traffic light for example, its like small star burst?

Third review is on tomorrow.

My experience was similar except that i cant decipher what was on the computer screen during the first 2 weeks. Doc even commented that my eyes had defects in the healing zzz

My recovery was quite similar to yours from the 3rd week, and my vision cleared up by end of 4th week. Hopefully your vision also cleared up by then.

Right now I am still experiencing out-of-focus vision when my eyes are tired. It is more noticeable on my right eye than my left eye. It goes away when i put in effort to focus on the item that i want to see.

The eye drop helps because the surface of your corneal are still uneven. The eye drop smoothen the surface and help u see better.

I think the doc is going prescribe to you a box of eye lubricant and Lotemax for u to use after FML, tomorrow.
