After reading so many posts, am looking at Shinigawa or EEC.

So I just have to call in an make an appt for examination? Is the waiting time between screening and surgery long?

Do you mind sharing your ICL experience? Dr Julian Theng also recommended this procedure for me, but am worried about potential side effects. Not a lot of information online regarding this...

I have 400 plus degree in one eye and the other eye 500 plus
Astigmatism 200 plus.
Cornea 480 thickness

SNEC declined to do lasik for me and no confidence to go ICL so I research and found Julian Theng

The lens is custom made for you.
They create a hole in your eye one week before the op.

Actual op will be inserting the lens into the hole and it unfolds over your eye.

Side effects splitting headache after op cos brain and eyes getting used to the lens.

Everything costs towards 8k

Anyone here with thin cornea but still proceed with the LASIK surgery? Dr Lynn Yeo from EEC said my left cornea is slightly thin but still possible to perfrom LASIK however if there comes a need for enhancement surgery then there would not be enough cornea to burn. Anyone had the same situation as me? Was wondering what option did you guys went for.

And I was also thinking of getting a second opinion on this matter. Contemplating between going to SNEC or ClearVision.

Thank you in advance!

Actually mine also same situation. At night there are multiple images and I am not sure if it is astig or something else. I am quite disappointed with the EEC Julian Thang service level as he is not quite keen on finding out the problem and more on the side of convincing me there is no problems.

I wont be going back there anymore. If needed I will go for second opinion with another doctor.

Hi,

I also went lasik, performed by Julian Theng from EEC on 16th October. Same situation as you! I will like to know hows your 3 months vision now? I hope you are recovering!

Here's my lasik story:

It has already been a month but my vision is still blurry. Post 1 week surgery, I met Dr Harold Choi and he said that I had loose corneal and belong to the 5%. I was kind of worried so I scheduled to meet Dr Theng for follow up and he told me not to worry vision will stabilize within 2 to 3 months.

It has been 1 month and a week already but vision still the same. The only time when I have perfect vision is when I use eye drop but the perfect vision only stays for a few seconds.

Dear XXX, thank you for contacting Atlas Eye Specialist Centre.

Wavefront PRK @ $2,999
Wavefront LASIK @ $3,499
ReLEx SMILE @ $4,699

You may consider coming in for a 3-hour $19 pre-LASIK evaluation to ascertain your suitability for surgery.

I just received this. Is this a good price? Saw the other clinics were roughly slightly cheaper?

You made an enquiry on the site? Prices seem to be lower than what was shown on the site

The multiple images did not went away. I did a simple pinhole test at home for astig and seems that it is really residual astig left.

Other than that I figured there is nothing else to do. Not interested in going for any enhancement surgeries, once is enought

hello all, would just like to find out about the bladeless lasik which involves cutting of the cornea. will the cornea flap recover fully after a long period of time? or is the cut permanent and dislodging of cornea flap can happen even after a long period of time (say 1-2 years)? thanks

Hi all, I’ve got very bad eyes (1100 deg), and I think my best bet is ICL. Honestly, the cost is prohibitive. Seems to be about 5k an eye. Has anyone done ICL at a cheaper price? There isn’t much info around which surgeon is the best so I’m going in blind anyway. Might as well compare the most economical options.

Flapless is safer and lesser side effects compared to with flap right?

but the results in general, with flap is better right? like higher chances of flapless not able to bring the myopia down to 0 degree compared to with flap right?

pros and cons.

Flapless takes longer time to recover. Safer is because no flap is created. But then again, creating flap is also not say unsafe with the current technology . I am going for IntraLase in mid December. I prefer flap creation cos healing time is much faster. In paper at least.

I search youtube for videos and mostly are done with flap creation surgery. Maybe tonight go research flapless surgery video see see lol
