Thank you for the explaination. This condition of mine can't be fixed right?
I also realised that under normal indoor lightings, my vision aren't clear enough. Probably because I still have Astigmatism and Myopia leftover after my Lasik.
I'm not sure if it can be fixed. Perhaps it could be. There are some options u can explore depending on your preference.
1. You can check if you have astigmatism or myopia by going to a optician or optometrist.. If your vision can be made clear through lenses, den It's probably myopia and astigmatism.
2. If u did lasik, u can do an enhancement procedure quite easily. The Lasik flap does not adhere strongly to the cornea thus this flap can be lifted easily for the cornea to be ablated again to correct for residual refractive error. However, you will be subject to the same set of risks at as pertaining to all lasik procedure but at a higher probability since this is an enhancement. I think it's better for you to go back EEC since they would have all your pre-operative measurement and test results. Or you can see another surgeon for an opinion.
3. For the halos and glares, if you know u will be in a low light environment, u can take some actions to alleviate it by making the environment slightly brighter to prevent full dilation of pupil.
4. For your residual refractive error, you can try vision training to improve your visual acuity. You can google Neurolasik. There's quite a few eye surgeons and optical centers that offer this. The results are proven and published in journals so I don't think it is hocus pocus. This is non invasive as no drugs or surgery is involved but it involves your time commitment to go for the computer training for around 15 to 30 sessions.
5. Leave your residual refractive error as it is. A low level of myopia will be helpful when you have presbyopia. I'm. It sure how old you are but when you are approaching 40s, you may not be able to focus on near objects such as your smartphone. A bit of myopia will be helpful in this instance. In fact I think the best scenario if your dominant eye has perfect vision while your non dominant eye has a low level of myopia such as around -1 diopter. In this case, u will be able to see far and near if your are comfortable with the convergence of the vision of both eyes.
