Ok so i went to Shinagawa for pre-lasik assessment. Actually you will get $300 off if make in full payment so i dont think having referral will make any difference.
The experience is great, no long wait like Atlas. Dr Lee is quite professional, but i feel his talking is robotic (like he repeats the same thing for over thousands of time). Hopefully he did check thoroughly my results before consulting me.
Anyway, still considering whether to choose lasik or smile.
Seems like not many ppl here actually chose smile. But i saw REALLY GOOD reviews on Atlas page. Not sure if it's paid reviews though.
Please share your experience or thoughts![]()
Just went to shinagawa for pre lasik assessment. Dr Lee advised not to do lasik as i have lenticular astigmatism.
Anybody have the same problem as me?

Hi thanks for sharing.Did Dr. Lee reject you outright? Otherwise, fret not.
From 1st assessment, the results showed that I had both corneal and lenticular astigmatism. Dr. Lee suspected it can be due to my eye dryness that cause the irregularity. Hence I was asked to apply eye drop every 3hr daily for 3 weeks until the next visit.
On 2nd assessment, there was improvement to the axis of both astigmatism. Dr. Lee concluded the previous result was due to eye dryness and thus gave the green light to proceed with Intralase Lasik. Was told to keep applying eye drops until the surgery day as I had some mild dryness.
After the lasik, I had red bruise on the eye whites due to the pressure caused by the suction ring. This will go away in 2~3 weeks time. Dr. Lee also inserted bandage contact lenses to secure the position of the flap during the op. Regained about ~80% vision immediately.
By the next morning, it went up to 95% as I still had the bandage lenses on but reading vision was already 6/6. After the lenses removal, 100% clear vision! Other than occasional mild blurry due to dryness, I did not experience any halo or starburst. No problem looking at computer or handphone. Not so sensitive to bright lights either.![]()
Hi. I have had my LASIK surgery more than 4 years ago using the Relex Smile method, and so far I have not experienced any dryness post-surgery.
May I suggest that u also try taking supplements such as Vitamin A and also Lutein ? Currently I am taking Vitamin A (10,000 IU), Lutein (20mg) which are vitamins that are also essential for eye health.
Hope this helps. ^^
Any idea what is the threshold before they recommend collagen cross-linking?![]()
