my aunt did lasik about 20 years ago in the 1990s. She is about 49 this year. No regression, no presbyopia. But she protects her eyes well, other than working, which requires the use of computers, she rarely use computer and watch tv. Mainly just reading

I think nutrition also important. Take omega 3 to reduce symptoms of dry eyes. Or possibly the supps on iherb dedicated to eye health.

Just my thought: I ended up buying so many types of supplement, it started with protein, then I go on with BCAA, then vitamin E and zinc, then with free vitamin D3, then more promo from iherb about eye health, cholesterol, ALA, lower blood sugar (haven bought those yet) :s13:

Has anyone heard of cases where the patient does not have cases of dry eyes, halos, double vision, etc in the first few weeks/months after the op but developed them years after the op?

I'm going for lasik at eagle eye soon.:) Cant wait for the spects-less days again.

Decided on eagle eye after reading up in forums. They seem to have good reviews in terms of doctors skills and customer service.

today i just finished my lasik bladeless option at eagle eye clinic at mt alvernia. my gdness it was very very very scary experience. apparently i think my eyes are not exactly small but maybe the socket is small, there is this suction thing they have to use before they can cut the flap, it was very very painful because the suction just cldnt fit in. doc kept trying and trying.

Sian just went today & they told me got 1.5% chance of developing post lasik ectasia even with cross linking due to my high myopia & an abnormal cornea shape. Guess i was too dissapointed after hearing the news that i forgot to ask him what other options are there.

how did it go my friend? did you proceed with the lasik? how thin is your cornea?

why did you even log in to a computer or surf the internet after your op? you are suppose to let your eyes rest. hoped you went back today for a post op checkup, what did the doctor say?

it could be due to the doctor

hey guys any one of you have this issue whereby your cornea asgti and your lenticular asgti is degree is too far apart?
For eg my asgti is 425, cornea is asgti is 275 lenticular asgti is 150.

I was rejected by shinagawa citing reason by the doctor that lasik only fix the cornea asgti, after which i would have lenticular asgti of 150 which would essentially means i would be have 150 degree asgti after surgery. Which of course that defeats the purpose of doing lasik.

However, when i went to LSC for 2nd opinion, i was told that i was given the green light.

I'm very puzzled here. Does that means that the machine in LSC is able to fix lenticular asgti?

Someone with the knowledge kindly advise please? Your input would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

There are many doctors, and different machines that they use.
Did you go consult with other doc??

Remember: Measure twice, cut once!
It's always cheaper to pay for consultation fee than to cut your eyes wrongly!!

What is the Visian ICL?

Perm contact implants are popular now overseas.
Good for people who have thin eyes or high degrees.

Not sure if its widely available here, but its another option to consider for some.
