Thought I would be given CIMB Clicks Internet Banking details to log in my account. Or do I need to register IB separately?
Did you visit the bank to make FD deposit? They should have opened the savings account for you and give you the IB login details.

wah any bank in sg will make you Premier client and serve you in their business class lounge 🤑 :s13:

They wont bother you unless ur in their private client customer base + with investment. $250k nowadays is not even alot…
Ya are right that they don't bother. In Dec 2019 and Jan 2020, I had more than 1m sitting in ordinary isavvy savings account, after liquidating some structured products, the bank never bother to call or invite me Any way I never keen in priority, though SCB and OCBC gave me automatically and don't bother to cancel my priority even when my balances fell to less than 5 figures for years already.

if cancel, it will take 2 days to be back to your saving account if via phone...
I don’t know if I should go thru the hassle of cancelling the FD and re-placing the same sum. I placed on 1 June 2022 at 1.6% for 12 months. if I cancel next Mon, and place 6 months at 3.95%, the FD will mature around the same time and the interest paid is higher.

My classmate cancelled 2 FDs at very low rate and he had to pay 111 and 3xx penalty. Now he very happy that he got T-bills paying 4% and 3.9%.

Sigh , I bought the GE endowment at 2.3 pa .. in June for 2 yrs , if withdraw now , I need to pay $1000 as penalty

No point thinking about it.
2.3% is not bad. Just that interest rate went up fast and furious recently.
