Seetoh has brought to light more issues and forcing action by public scrutiny than any other relevant agencies. They have much to learn from him
There's nothing to learn. Pretty sure they know but they can't bite the hand that feeds them

All probably cursing seetoh now, got more work and everything have to do properly, all the dirt must sweep under another carpet

I wonder how our hawker stall rent in terms of psf compares to similar setup in other countries. I keep hearing how “low” our stall rent are, think median now is $1800 per month according to AI. Don’t forget there’s other ancillary fees.

But in psf terms, I have a feeling sg has the highest rent in Asia. Hope someone can do a study on a like for like basis.

use other people's money to do charity lol

Hope someone look at the contracts signed by retailers of shopping malls, landlords also creaming off profits and all sort of conditions....

rich and powerful bullying the weak and poor...

It's a rentier economy. Landlords squeeze everyone else dry and MiW are okay with it.
Credit they take and earn good PR, but the ones to 买单 are the hawkers and us consumers. SG is landlords' paradise, crony capitalism at its core.

this kind of thing reminds me of those companies that "force" employees to go and do charity work on weekends and after work in the guise of CSR. Then use it as advertisement for their own corporate profile

3 While a few stalls at popular locations have attracted high bids, such tender prices are not the norm. The median successful tender price for cooked food stalls across hawker centres was about $1,800 in 2023. About 1 in 5 cooked food stalls were also awarded at tender prices at or below $500 in 2023.
